Interesting fact - Brad saw Kimberly Williams on Father of the Bride and said I'm going to marry that girl! They have been married for nearly 22 years and have 2 children. So he literally was waitin' on the woman!

Back in the mid 80's, we would hold military exercises in Dare County, NC, and stayed in Hotel Manteo off the Outer Banks. Andy owned a beautiful home that we drove past daily and every morning he would be sitting on his porch and stand up waving to us as we headed out to the range. A few of us were in the local Piggly Wiggly one evening after missions and Mr Griffith was there and walked over to us and shook all our hands. We talked for a good 20 minutes with him. He was one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met even to this day. ❤️

One of the last things that Andy was filmed in, this was kind of prophetic in a sense...since he died shortly thereafter. Showing him dressing up all in white, then sitting on a bench in an empty beach at sunset...almost signatory of sittin' in Heaven waitin' on his Woman. That ending brings tears to my eyes every time. "Honey, take your time. Cause I don't mind. Waitin' on a Woman" ...and then you look at the bench where he was talkin' to Brad...and Brad's the only one sittin' there.

Brad Paisley is an amazing artist. This is a nice song. However, the Brad Paisley sone I love most is entitled “He didn’t have to be”. It makes me choke every time while reminding me that we are so fortunate to have truly grounded men among us who stepped up to the plate when they didn’t have to. I believe you will also love this song along with the video and the message they bring. Robert, you won’t be disappointed.

I'm a divorced 48-year-old white dude, and I love watching your reactions. You're awesome, man. I remember when this video came out with Brad Paisley and Andy Griffith. It was great. Such a wonderful story. I still get along with my ex-wife, we're still cordial and so-forth, still talk, but it's a long story. Anywho, you mentioned songs that hit you to the core. One that has always hit me hard is Conway Twitty's "That's My Job." My dad died when I was 20, and I still have to choke back the tears when I hear that song. God bless you, and I hope you have a merry CHRISTmas!

This song always makes me cry. I very first time I saw my husband he was on the other side of a dance floor at the national armory. I was 15 and he was 17. I nudged my older brother and said you see that man over there I am going to marry him. He looked at me and said you don't even know him. Well we have now been married 43 years and are truly blessed. I never even dated another man. I don't know what I would do if he went to the other side before me. He is definitely my best friend as well as a wonderful husband

This song has Brad describing something about what women are like. The end, with Andy Griffith dressed all in white, waiting on a heavenly bench for his wife, is really touching. If this song doesn't make you as a guy appreciate your wife a little more, there's something wrong with you. The flip side is Brad singing about what men are like, very funny --"I'm Still a Guy". Yeah, Brad is a REALLY good guitarist. If you like that stuff, and who doesn't, check out Brad Paisley and fellow Australian Keith Urban having serious guitar fun on their official music video "Start a Band". (Trivia: Oh, and little Opie? He's Ron Howard, who grew up to be Richie Cunningham on the TV show "Happy Days", starring alongside Henry Winkler as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli. Then Ron grew some more and has had a looong career acting, producing, directing some very successful movies. He produced and directed Apollo 13 and The De Vinci Code, just to name two.)

Yes that was Andy Griffith. From what I read, Andy had some money issues later in his life, and Brad actually asked him to be in the video which helped him get a stream of income from the royalties too. And yes, the Andy Griffith Show had Opie, played by little Ronnie Howard, who went on to star as Richie Cunningham in Happy Days and then went on to be one of the biggest tv and movie producers in the world. Ron's daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard is also an actress, playing Hilly in the Help among her many movies roles.

❤❤ This song always makes me think of my grandfather. He would sit on a bench in the mall and wait for my grandma, my mom and me to finish shopping. He would wait in the car for her to finish her talking at church or other family functions. He would wait in the car for her to make sure all the doors were locked and all the lights were off in the house. He passed away in 2008 and I guarantee he is on a bench up in heaven waiting on her, she just turned 95 on the 7th of this month. ❤❤

Brad Paisley, a native of Glen Dale West Virginia, a small town just south of Wheeling on the Ohio River. By his teenage years, he had started a band, and very quickly they became the House Band for the Wheeling Opry. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, who Brad wrote "He Didn't Have to Be" to honor, it's a great track. I think "Mud on the Tires" was his debut single, and it's a great album. He plays the guitar like a mad man. I don't think it's possible for him to release a bad song. " Whiskey Lullaby", a duet with Allison Krause will rip your heart out. "Remind Me", a duet with Carrie Underwood, will definitely make you want to hold your wife tight. "I'm Still a Guy", "Celebrity", "I'm Gonna Miss Her", and "Ticks" will make you laugh out loud. This is definitely a rabbit hole worth diving into head first. Yes, that was Andy Griffith, and the little boy you referred to, Opie, is Ron Howard, who grew up to be one of the greatest directors of our time. He also starred in Happy Days alongside Henry Winkler.

Yes, that’s Andy Griffith. When you did Whiskey Lullaby, I recommended this and I believe I mentioned that Andy was in this video. I can honestly say that in almost 44 years of marriage I have never had my husband waiting on me. I’m the person who thinks if I’m not 15 minutes early, I feel like I’m late. I have loved this video since it came out. My precious Dad left this world 5 years and 4 months before my Mom. If Mom hadn’t had dementia, w feel that she would have gone right after him. They were married 65 years. *we have all of the B&W seasons of the Andy Griffith Show on dvd & they have been played over and over and over and over…..* Don’t get me on my soapbox about women and men….. 😡

Andy had the two successful TV shows (Andy Griffith Show and Matlock) but as a kid I also listened to his comedy albums. He also had music albums. Opie had some success as an actor in Happy Days and movies like American Graffiti but his greatest success was in directing with over 30 films to his credit including Academy Awards for A Beautiful Mind.

I’ve never seen one of your videos but man I could see the realization sweep across your face at the end of the song. Brad is an amazing guitar player. You should check out Start a Band with him and Keith Urban. They are amazing players!

They're waiting for her to finish getting ready or finish shopping, etc, 😄, not standing them up! You made me laugh so hard. Oh & y'all are definitely waiting for us more!!

That 30 minutes that ole Andy Griffith spent waiting on her for that first date, changed his Life Forever.

That song is so beautiful. Andy makes it that much more sentimental. Brad Paisley is a great guitar player. His music is so good. He is hilarious and meaningful. He does it all. Little Moments is a good place to go after that one. Celebrity is a funny one to listen too.

I've only just found your content. There's so much to Brad Paisley that you'd probably enjoy. His song writing is a balance of incredible love songs like this and super funny stuff like "Alcohol", "Celebrity", and "I'm gonna miss her"! And yeah, he can get that guitar like few others! I strongly suggest "letter to me"! I'm gonna check out more of your stuff and am sure I'll find you discovering music that is so meaningful to me to be as enjoyable as this one was.
