Peggy's curiosity leads her to inquire with the florist, only to find out that the man is on his way. As she waits in anticipation, the mystery man reveals himself to be none other than Randy (Rand Brooks). Sparks fly as he asks her out on a dinner date, but Peggy has one condition - to meet her mother first.

Monroe is a leggy burlesque showgirl who shares the stage with her mom (Jergens) and another half dozen or so beauties. Monroe falls in love with wealthy socialite Brooks, a romance met with disapproval by Jergens. It turns out that mother got herself into the same situation years before and is just watching out for little Marilyn.

It's interesting that, though this was her first main role, she was able to give such a natural and charming performance right off the bat. She helped make this such a cute film, and this is my favorite scene in it.
