I feel bad for Axel. He just wants to create a robot that will help everyone, but it backfires in some way. With this new lore, I wonder; is Axel an outcast on Unington? Does everyone hate him because a huge war he caused by accident?

No , i don't think it's robotic, there's between feeling NOTHING and having feeling that annihilate themselfs to finaly feel nothing ... this is why we have the feeling of feeling something , but that feeling is nothing but the reaction of our brain to many feeling that cancels between themselfs .

I relate to Axel on a spiritual level. Every time I try to write code for a cool new game or mechanic I have in mind, about 5 hours later I come acrross a critical error that requires me to rebuild the engine from the ground up.

Every single melody/rhythm in this song tells a story; you could even say it describes how Axel got through the first 10 years of his dream. I hear all these rhythms echo the sort of feeling/experience. Meandering, A Little Desire, Acknowledgement of the Ends, Dream, Sleep, some Coping Mechanism, Uncertain Consistency, Indifference, Deafness, just the soundless mechanization.. And the one thing about it, is how instrumental it all is. Axel isn't meant to be an attention grabbing type, but his actions and quirks do and manage to say a lot. Gretina! You did an incredible job implementing character in this! 🌟 I hope if anything, your universe continues exactly how you want it to!

You know this really paints a sadder story for Axel. Like, mix this with the lore from his laboratory music and it paints him as being homeless and destitute after the war. Beating himself up and feeling bad for all the harm he did, and when his friend gave him a chance to try again.... He took it. Not really 'succeeding' mind you, but doing enough to make himself feel good about himself. If ever so fleeting.
