The number of games I helped win just by waiting for the right moment to strike and dropping mushrooms like poo everywhere...... I've had whole teams cursing me on chat cause they kept getting killed by the shrooms.

There used to be one other trap champ in the game. Maokai support with saplings. While it didn’t quite compete with teemo, it was close. They didn’t like that and nerfed it into the ground.

The problem with trap champions like teemo is that they always feel shitty to play against, and design-wise there's not a ton that can be done to differentiate them. The same could technically be said of most other abilities. There's only so many ways you can skin a dash. They're also not really that eye-catching in team fights. They play in a much more reserved, macro-focused manner. Which is something that modern league is antithetical to.

Trap champs are fun to play as, but not so much against. I think if they were to introduce another, or buff trap teemo/shaco to the point of being really meta, they'd also have to rework vision some. Traps providing so much vision and almost requiring the enemy team to build sweepers en-masse is tough. A fed trap user indirectly gibs enemy vision while expanding ally vision so much. I think they'd need to add another item to reveal traps (like old Oracle Potion), or add more options for non-supports to buy and place wards if they added more trap champions. Simplest is probably just make green wards purchasable again, so you're less punished for going sweepers as a team. It could also be interesting to have a boot upgrade that's vision focused, kind of like Zephyr is. You'd probably need to make that mutually exclusive with support items though. None of that is necessary right now, I think, but probably would be if there were more trap champs or if they were heavily meta.

Hi pekin, i’ve been a teemo mid otp some years ago, and although i’m just diamond i would like to suggest you to try him with electrocute and play around aa q aa combo, against mages is surprisingly good and you can take roaming hunter to go place shroom around the map once you shoved; i remember at the end of the day i realized the best strategy was to place shrooms near enemy jgl camps instead of mid so your team will always know where he is (persons dont track well in diamond) or near bushes that has to be clear by enemy support, it’s fun for you but annoying for them, as everything should be.

You do know you can throw a mushroom on top of each other to make the second bounce further from you as it bounces of the first one. Good way to throw more further into a team fight. You can actually bounce them on top of each other over and over again and make them bounce further and further.

20% more damage is one of the strongest effects out there for Damage Over Time. Helps finish players off. Not to mention it's high AP and flat magic pen means squishy champs take even more damage
