Och det låter ju riktigt bra, tom med Stradivarius! Fick just en ide om vilken låt jag ska träna på, en som jag nästan glömt..

I believe Kuusisto plays violin by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini from 1754 Cremona. Lovely instrument also. :)

@@wiltzu81 I was working in the orchestra at this concert (I play double bass) and I remember someone telling me that both Pekka and Malin had stradivarius violins this week! :)

@@boerdddd You can also be right as for sure he has been playing with Stradivarius in many times. There is in Finland currently five known and verified Stradivarius and I believe Pekka has access to some of them. (Back in days he won for example Sibelius Violin Concerto competition with Stradivarius at the age of 17. But that Stradivarius is now in loan for other violinist.) There was interesting article after Pekka's BBC Proms concert in Finland were he told story about his instrument (Guadagnini) and that he has fallen love with Del Gesú which was secretly shown to him by the owner and played in meeting at Helsinki same time with comparison to Amati (was many years believed to be Stradivarius), Gagliano, Goffriller and Guadagnini. Asking price was millions and Pekka's millionaire patron was not enough fast to make decision about buying the instrument to Finland.

Malin Broman is my number one Swedish hero. Nothing wrong with Pekka Kuusisto either, but he is from Finland!
