Included in this category are the OSTs from Scaramouche's backstory cutscene, boss cutscenes, etc, the Lantern Rite cutscenes / Yaksha cutscenes, and the OST used in the summer event.

The reason it's underrated or rather often forgotten is, because they locked such a great track into a tiny area where you only have to go once or twice for a sidequest... It's such a waste! Yes, you can go there again whenever you want, but that fantastic track is just completely wasted on it IMO... Imagine this track playing in the Court of Fontaine instead. Reminds me of Port Ormos, too. As good as the city themes of Sumeru & Fontaine are, I'd have preferred it if the respective tracks of Port Ormos & Lumidouce Harbor actually played in the cities, because you naturally would get to listen to them more often and IMO they would fit the cities as much as the ports...

Okay, first off, 24:37 is probably my favourite ost in the entire game so far. It genuinely has such a weight to it that I don't think any other ost comes close to, especially with the ties to Narzissenkreuz and where it plays. But more importantly, the name is so genius. It literally translates to, "The Sea, The Mother." Which is incredibly fitting since it plays in the Primordial Sea, where all life began. Such an impactful soundtrack. edit: Also, 54:50 is so amazing. Fontaine easily peaking the soundtrack.

"La mer, la mere" might be one of the best soundtracks ever made in the history of humanity, well at least that is my opinion, i honestly don’t even know how to describe it, the music just makes me feel so empty, anxious and sad, but it’s also beautiful and calming, giving me a weird feeling of peace that no other music has ever given me. Honestly this might sounds weird but when i listen to it i can’t help but imagine the Void of space, it’s never-ending nothingness, yet it is also full. Quiet and dark at times, but when a star explodes it becomes louder and brighter than anything we could ever imagine. Just thinking about space feels cold, sad, soulless and helpless but in a weird way it also feels so full of life and wonders. It’s a paradox honestly, and THAT is what this "la mer, la mere" sounds like to me, i know it might sound weird but that is how i feel, every time i listen to it i feel empty but also kind of hopeful and excited for what awaits me. But i digress, sorry that i went a bit off-topic lol, but to be fair to myself im just trying to express myself and how i feel about this music with my limited knowledge of the english language (it’s not my first language :3) so i figured an analogy would maybe help? Idk, BUT to give myself some credit maybe my comparison wasn’t too far-fetched since space kind of is the root of all existence and we can only hear "la mer, la mere" in the Primordial sea which is the root of most of life in Teyvat and feels very alien-like (at least to me) in the sense that it doesn’t really feel like it belongs to Teyvat, or maybe it’s not that it doesn’t belong to Teyvat, but that it isn’t exclusive to Teyvat so it feels very different from the rest of Teyvat, just like something alien to a planet. (Also it may feel very alien-like since it was entangled with the All-Devouring-Narwhal in the story, which is quite literally an alien to Teyvat) Anyway i should probably stop here, this comment has gotten too long xD

@@capawesome6127 rondeau des fleurs et rapieres came out with the version 4.0 update as the first battle theme of fontaine’s default soundtrack, while both tracks are part of version 4.0, it’s highly unlikely that a player would have arrived at the ordo before fighting a single enemy in fontaine, so this piece would sound familiar to them since they most likely heard the combat track first before starting the world quest. additionally, this track was not made available on release, unlike rondeau des fleurs. genshin environmental (non-boss) battle music has almost never been written around a world theme, as melodies tend to be very unique and separate.

​​@@physamber the narzissenkreuz world quest starts in 4.0, and the leitmotif is indeed meant to be for the quest, it plays several times during the 4.0 questlines. Its the bell the kids of the orphanage used to hear, signifying that break time is over, as said in one of the quests. Its used in the battle theme as a reference to the order, since they're very related to Fontaine's history.
