OMG. That piston was disassembled like a pit crew at the car race. I was so nervous for this expensive pen, until everything was calmly lined up for maximum efficiency. Well done.

@@NameLikeNobodyElse lol, thank you! I don’t recommend taking the rod out of the housing because it can be tricky to get everything lined up again.

Love my Pelikans! IMO, the quality you feel while handling these pens is second to none! They’re tanks! Very disappointed by Pelikans decision to change to opaque bodies. For me it’s not about seeing ink level, etc….this was a styling cue and instantly identified the pen as a Pelikan….literally as synonymous with the brand as the Pelikan beak clip. As a result, I will not purchase new striped Pelikans….total dealbreaker for me. Great video!

WingSung 630 fits into a Visconti Traveller's Inkwell, so this one should fit too, thus solving your issue with half-empty ink bottles. Fill the inkwell, turn it upside down, fill the pen, ready. For me, the standard M1000 is boring, but the special editions are stunning; unfortunately, their prices are even more stunning.

Beautiful pen. Recently used a Diplomat Nexus,another oversized pen. It too doesn’t post by design. The pen I used had a B steel nib, not as wet as the Pelikan. The M1000 is a true grail pen.

I prefer the Souveran 805, because the smaller size fits my hand better. So much better made than a Montblanc and the nib is far better too. An excellent writer if you prefer a stiffer nib. This is a nicely done review - Enjoyable - Thank you.

@@kevinu.k.7042 thank you! I haven’t tried the M800 series but have a feeling it would be more comfortable in the hand. I think I would miss this soft nib though
@kevinu.k.7042Күн бұрын
@@ForTheLoveOfPensIt might be my error... I've just got an M805 out to check. Yes, it is fairly soft compared to the Montblanc 146, but stiffer than the lovely Realo in your video. As far as I know the 805 / 1000 nibs are much of the same stiffness. Though I have never written with the M1000. The M800 and M1000 are of the same quality, just the size varies. And yes, it is a WOW nib :) Apologies, it is merely stiffer than my go to favourites. Until the next video - Thank you. :)

@@kevinu.k.7042 the comparisons that I’ve seen between the M1000 and M800 say both nibs are excellent, but the 1000 is noticeably softer because it is larger. Maybe someday I will be able to compare them

I have both an M815 (M) and M1000 (EF) - while the M800 nib isn't exactly a nail, it doesn't approach the level of bounce you get from the M1000 - which feels almost like writing with a paintbrush by comparison.

I find it odd that a thicker section is more comfortable for you and that you prefer thinner sections. The opposite is true for me.

@@oscarmedina1597 I find it is somewhat of a personal preference. May be related to grip and hand size.

I have the M205 which is the opposite of the M1000, in terms of size. I did not realize the inlet to the barrel from the feed is so far down. My MaJohn P 139 suffers from the same problem and I have to make sure there is enough ink on the bottle to accommodate the feed. I was thinking about this pen as I like wider grips. Is it wider than the Jinhao 9019? Also the section should be larger. Excellent review.

@@paulmchugh1430 thank you! That’s an issue I have with the Wing Sung 630 as well. Pretty much need to use an ink miser on all smaller bottles…. The Jinhao 9019 grip section is thicker and longer than this one
