I also have an inexpensive Englander pellet stove. To combat breakdowns I keep one of every component that could break in stock in my garage. There are really just 4 components: 1. auger motor, 2. Room air motor, 3. exhaust motor, 4. Vacuum switch that can break down. Keep spares of these on hand & never worry about being down.

YOU ARE THE BEST! Thank you so much for helping me determine the cause of my stoves failure without hiring a professional. It was a bad airflow switch. God Bless!

The fan that recirculate the heated air into your house that you’re showing a picture of if the inside radius of those little fans get a 30 second or 16th of an inch of stuff in them that reduces the airflow that it creates by 20 to 30% so take a few minutes get a Q-tip and and clean each one of those on the inside and add that to your yearly maintenance! I had one of these stoves for six or seven years it’s the simplest easiest most dependable pellet stove on the market the only thing you need for spare parts is one auger motor. They are both the same motor so they are interchangeable! And all of the different brand stoves all use the same auger motor. . And if you really mechanical when they fail and I’ve had several over the years what I’ve discovered is inside the gear case of that auger motor the grease that they use dries up and so no lubrication on the gear mechanism causes The mechanism to intermittently bind so it’ll work for two days you’re clear it spin it and it’ll work for another day or six days and it’ll stop again😳 so what I’ve done is pull it apart clean out that grease put a sealer all the way around where the 2 halves meet, and put some 90 or 120 weight gear lube..... rear end fluid in there it doesn’t take much, lay it flat so that that the split cases in half and fill that front half about halfway 3/4 and then seal the seam and bolted back together!!! Provided that the motor on it is still turning and I have yet to see one of those motors fail! Great video you jog my memory at the beginning of the season for a friend of mine who’s the stove wouldn’t run it was dirty! VACUUM SWITCH😃 Ps also get yourself one of those little oil cans with the long spout on it so you can reach down in and lubricate the front and the rear bearing on the exhaust fan they don’t have a lubrication ports but if you can put a couple drops on the shaft with the motor in your hand and let gravity run it down into each bearing that will prolong the life for that motor in definitely........... Thank you and I’m your ONE PERSON! GOD BLESS OUR AMERICA

This is awesome info. Thank you for this video. I'm about to find out if mine needs a new pressure switch. If it does I'm going to put a switch inline with the jumper so I don't over work the blower. Lord knows the last thing I need is another part to go bad on it. Thank you.

The pressure switch is a safety. It's okay to test with a jumper. NEVER leave it running on a jumper. That switch is there for a reason. From HVAC tech with 15 years experience.

Do you have any Suggestion for why the 6 amp fuse keeps popping everytime i press the ON button? The stove started up and after about 5 min it stopped and tripped my breaker. I found the burnt fuse, replaced it, plugged it in, hit ON and pop. Replaced it, hit ON, POP. Any Ideas what i can self diagnose first before I call a guy
@mr.diytech3591
@mr.diytech3591 3 жыл бұрын
You have a short somewhere it sounds like. Find out what that 6 amp fuse ties to and trace it all the way back. Somewhere you will find the fault. I suggest doing a continuity test with a multimeter first. It may also be obvious if a wire is burnt in there if your lucky it will stand out. If all else fails call a professional so you don't burn your house down. Better safe than sorry

Hello I’ve got an englander pellet stove. About 2 years old. Ran perfect last year. Been using it a hand full of time this year so far so good except past couple night it will fire fine and run fine but within a few hours it will over fill the burn pot with pellets and shut itself off. All my pipes are clean my two clean outs in fire box are clean. Any tips
@mr.diytech3591
@mr.diytech3591 2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like all the ash isn't blowing out of the burn pot after it stops feeding. Clean out all the holes really well and check the quality of the pellets for being a little damp. Could be a combination of things but I would check those first. Hope this helps

@mr.diytech3591
@mr.diytech3591 4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you may have a motor shorting out and starting to go bad. Although I'm not very familiar with the ashley stoves. I would do some quick Google searches on that type of stove to see if others have had the same issue and how they resolved it

I have a question and if anyone can help it would really be a blessing i have a pellet stove and when i turn it on it comes on and the rotator turns but it just automatically shuts off and on the side panel i can't turn the numbers up or down and on the left side on the panel it says the letter E what is going please help anybody
@mr.diytech3591
@mr.diytech3591 5 жыл бұрын
The E stands for error. It means the temp sensor didnt get hot enough to start the blower motor that blows the warm air into the room. Clean your ignitor and the fire pot really well and it should clear up and operate like normal. If it doesnt your ignitor may be starting to go bad and not get hot enough for a good burn to get it going like it should.
