Pellet testing today for my Weihrauch HW100

Pellet testing for my Weihrauch HW100. Yes I do shoot too and always available to give helpful tips and advice. There’s no such thing as a silly question here at Hey Lane Air Rifle Range so call in with your rifle and enjoy some of the best shooting around. We are 8 mins from the M62 Leeds to Manchester corridor easy to get to and the most friendliest range ever. We have build this range for shooters by shooters from newbies to the most experienced.

My pellet of choice for the last 35 years in all my Weihrauch's ( HW80, HW55T, HW97KT and now my current HW95k all in. 177) has been RWS Superdomes, I've now changed to RWS Superfield Ultra Heavy's (10gr).... still have great great flat trajectory, but carry more ft/lb's out to 55y - 60 y for pest control.

@@jongarratt5383 I was using the superdomes - I think they are an overall great pellet for all our range rifles too. I’m going to do part 2 and try some more so I will add the heavies to my list. Thank you ☺️

The QYS 9.56g are good in a breeze. I did some testing on the Hey Lane range on a breezy day and determined the JSB Exact 8.44gr 4.52 that group brilliantly in-doors were terrible outdoors compared to the QYS outdoors. That was the trigger to switch pellets for outdoor targets and hunting. The QYS are very clean and extremely consistent in weight - love em.

Great shooting!, my S510 shoots qys 9.54’s the best also. I’m just in such an unlucky spot where every decent outdoor range is a good hour and a half-2hrs away so I don’t tend to visit often. But if I’m ever over that way I’ll definitely have to drop by.

Very same bench i was using when visited your range your hubs said there will be a roof over it next time i visit is there one now ?😂 field target trophy seem to work well in those german rifles maybe not best but surely good starting point with decent results

@@jarikjara4336 yes we have got a cover over it - came down with the snow but back up again now lol. I’ve been doing more pellet testing and it also really likes the bisley magnum 4.52g. I’ll do a part 2 with the other pellets I’ve been recommended and see what the results are ☺️. Hope to see you at the range again soon.

I have used field target trophy but the ft lbs drop to just over 10 ft lbs but they are accurate but I have switched to qys domed now. Ps my rifle is a HW100ks in 177.

@ have you tried the Bisley magnums 4.52? I found they are also great. I’m just waiting on a nice calm day when not too busy on the range to do another pellet test, but my husband uses the Bisley magnums in his pathfinder and they are great for him so gave them a whirl and they seemed pretty good

Lovely rifle. I fancy one once I'm consistent with my 90k. How many shots per fill you getting? It seems to vary but sime people get 140+ shots and thats in .177.

Strange: I shoot one centimeter groups on 30 yards with all my HW springers and even with my little HW30. A HW100 can do way better and is so easy to shoot......

Hw100 is the best pcp ever made ,you only have to look at the 1st model to the latest and there's hardly any difference,
