It’s all about how you are going. Are you feeling a difference? You severe is your prolapse? Have you seen a women’s health physiotherapist? Consistency is key. The design of this is to progress from day 1, to day 2. So you could be day 1 for a while and then progress up to day 2. Maybe go back and really focus on technique and do day 1 for a week, then the same for day 2.. for the four weeks.

I was diagnosed with vaginal/anal prolapse 4 years ago. They wanted me to do pelvic floor therapy, and it wasn't covered by insurance. I didn't fight for it because it was really hard for me to even start the process. I was sexually abused as a child. The process of just the diagnosis brought back all those feelings I had as a child being touched in ways I didn't want. I never went back to the doctor because it was so hard for me. Now it's gotten so much worse. I am going to try this to see if it helps.

@mybrooklynpilates29273 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm a Pilates instructor who has also had some pelvic floor issues from pregnancy. If you have pelvic floor dysfunction/POP symptoms, I'd recommend a consultation with a pelvic floor specialist (if you haven't already done so.) She'll be able to tell you the exact exercises (and how often) you should do them for your specific situation. She can also see if you're doing kegels correctly. You can incorporate your kegels into functional movement, such as this really nice, gentle video posted by Pregnancy and Postpartum Fitness. If you're a beginner, you may want to practice your kegels first and then add them into simple movements as demonstrated in this video. This video is less than 10 minutes long, so doing this video (or others like it) at least once per day (or 2-3 times) per day could benefit you. Particularly for POP (pelvic organ prolapse), having the hips elevated is key, although kegels can be done in any position. Some of my clients, at first, found kegels challenging lying down, because there was no resistance from gravity. So, I'd have them try them seated. Once they had a sense of their pelvic floor, I then had them try kegels in other positions, such as seen in this video. I hope this helps!
@PregActive3 жыл бұрын
Hi Beena, it does depend on your individual situation, but consistency and frequency is the key. Every day is ideal. How are you going with your pelvic floor exercises? Where are you in your journey? Please feel free to contact me directly on the contact us page at PregActive.com to discuss in more depth.

Youre suppose to squeeze and lift when the navel is drawn in...(On exhale) ??? ...
@PregActive6 ай бұрын
Yes that’s right. Ideally you engage everything in the exhale. It works with the movement of your diaphragm as you breathe. Your diaphragm presses down as you breath in to create space for your lungs to fill, so as you breathe out the diaphragm lifts creating more space for the ‘core’ to engage. Does that help make more sense of it?
