I have been looking for the most accurate explanation as to why lateral rotation of the hip (especially bilaterally), creates anterior pelvic tilt. I can visualize the femur pushing the pelvis, but I know there must be a better explanation :-) If you can help me with this, you will have answered something I have been searching online for over 3 hours without any luck!

Good afternoon sir I have a ques. Not related to this video.. Sir, what is the function of gluteus medius in stabilization of pelvis? I found many ans. But none of them satisfied my mind... Sir can you please make me understand in a easy way? I will be so thankful..

First up all i m sorry that i couldnt answer your question on time, i was bit engaged since last day
@TonysTutorial4 жыл бұрын
And for your question the role of gluteus maximus at pelivis cannot be described in one word. In a simplified manner you can just imagine that in frontal plane the glutues maximus has a great role in stability,it as along with TFL on same side to maintain frontal plane normal alignement of pelvis. Further it gas great role in balancing pelvis such as it prevents the pelivic drop in opposite side such as during functional tasks.In addition to it it also generate the counter torque against gravitionsl adduction torque on pelvis during unilateral stance and other stance phases
@TonysTutorial4 жыл бұрын
In simple way...its a muscle that act as cheif abdcutor , and during out day to day activites when we move from one phase of walking to anthoer theres constant stages of uniateral stance during with due to the bodyweight and gravitiinak tirque the pelivs may drop, our gletues medius prevent it.Along with that glutues in both sides do play a great role in bilatralmstance to keep hip and pelvic neutral. You can get more details of bilateral and unilateral in my video on bilateral stance
