Nice house, at least it’s being preserved and not torn down. Captain Saunders’s son John was a Loyalist during the Revolution and moved to Canada after the Revolution, as did many others…

I've loved Pembroke Manor House since I was a kid back in the 60s. It's been bought and sold several times in my time; I've always wished I could have been one to buy it. Classic Georgian, it reminds me greatly of the George Wythe house in Williamsburg.I always meant to visit it when it was a school (I could have pretended I was interested in sending my kids there just to get a look inside! LOL!), but I never got around to it.

I think the actual spelling is "Pembroke Manor" though. I went to the official website, and Heather Brookshire, DVM is the new owner. It is about one acre and the electrical outlets have been modernized.
