I found this extremely helpful, I never really thought about doing clouds too much and when I just tried, I got completely lost. The general concept of lighting had my mind in shambles. I'm going to have to practice the shading a bit more, but you explained it simply and seeing it helped a ton! Time to go give this another shot, thank you!

@brummbarmusic69497 жыл бұрын
amazing! i really like this video. can you advice me some book about ink technique?
Interesting, thanks... Q - how would you draw MIST or FOG in a scene? Bugger - someone already asked that.. *tells self - READ!!* I use a dip pen and ink rather than the pens you used - I sometimes wash with water or drop ink into a wet patch on paper - that makes superb clouds... deep and moody or light and airy, depending on how wet and how much ink.. But I can't think of a way to make a decent fog or mist - currently I make a very thin water and ink mixture and wash it iver the scene, layering more washes for deeper fog and swirly bits. It looks OK.. but just OK. So i was wondering if there was a "proper" way of doing fog.,

Of all the drawing tutorials on youtube, yours are the most extensive and are which I reckon are the best! Cheers man! P.S. sometimes the camera loses focus and struggles to find it again, I'm not sure if you have fixed this in your later videos but if not, there should be a setting to fix the focal distance instead of it auto focusing. A quick google of your cameras make and model should tell you if this is possible. Its not really a problem but it would make your tutorials just that bit crisper! Thanks again.

Great video as always! :-) I do have a question, though. When you shade your lines are so light that almost don't seem to be BLACK. Like your pigma micron is almost going out of ink. Is that the pressure, is it the inclination of the pen, or both? I have the same pens but the lines are pretty ink-ish and blacker if you know what I mean. Thanks and keep on with this amazing work! best
@alphonsodunn6 жыл бұрын
Lol thats a good question. Yes‘ you’re right, its a combination of pressure and the incline. But also, the distance of my grip away from the point. That also helps a lot.
