En 2009, elle fonde son propre orchestre de chambre, Orfeo 55, ensemble jouant aussi bien sur instruments modernes que baroques, ce qui lui permet de s'aventurer en tout liberté dans les répertoires les plus divers. Son expérience de musicienne romantique et sa connaissance des styles anciens lui permettent d'aborder avec le même succès aussi bien Vivaldi et Mozart que Beethoven, Wagner ou Brahms.
L'approche de Nathalie Stutzmann, à la fois libre et rigoureuse, sa science du phrasé et l'intensité émotionnelle de ses interprétations, sa maîtrise exceptionnelle au service de la passion qu'elle communique sont autant d'éléments qui la font apprécier du public et des orchestres qu'elle dirige.

As I work my way through the individual pieces of this concert, I become more and more impressed with them. Most are unfamiliar but quite enjoyable especially in this performance.
