Hi PJ, I am having some trouble creating a proper UV curve of my first surface. Every time I try to select the piece after selecting UV curve it only lets me select 1/4 of the piece. If you have any direction on how I can get it to select the piece in entirety that would be so helpful! I have tried to ungroup, regroup, join and even starting over but I keep getting the same result!!
@PJChenJewelryDesign5 жыл бұрын
It doesn't select the whole model is because there are seam on the model. "Create UV curve" can only select single surface.
@anneh69795 жыл бұрын
@@PJChenJewelryDesign Thank you PJ for your response. I am still unsure why the whole surface is not one surface but 4. When you selected it it was all one piece so I am unsure how this ended up happening!
@spiroandritsis45845 жыл бұрын
@@PJChenJewelryDesign Your video shows the entire surface as a selection, my selection is 1/4 as is Anne. How did you clear the seam and make one surface?
@spiroandritsis45845 жыл бұрын
You need to check the "maintain height" box during the two rail sweep.

Hi P.J.,I saw many designers use Rhino for design, but use Keyshot for render..Rhino's own Render is not good enough for Jewelry design?also, some people use RhinoGold or Mas.... , as some software plug in Rhino are even more much expensive than Rhino itself, I don't understand why..., but I feel Rhino should be able to strong enough for all the Jewelry design, right ?
@PJChenJewelryDesign6 жыл бұрын
I use Keyshot for my rendering as well. It is easy to use. RhinoGold and Matrix are the plug in for Rhino. technically, Rhino itself can do everything those two programs provide. but they both have good feature for jewelry design specifically, such as stones, setting, chain in their library to use. The big difference is the software price. I always recommend the starter to use Rhino and if you feel like you will use Rhino for jewelry only and need to model a lot of jewelry for job, then I will recommend either RhinoGold or Matrix.

Thx P.J.. I will learn how to use Rhino first .
