Thx for demonstrating this formidable instrument! But it is NOT a violin inspired shape. The shape comes from the classical double bass. Have a look at the shoulders of a violin and at the shoulders of a double bass. You will see, they are completely different. The shoulders of a violin meets their neck in a 90 degree angle, the double bass not. That is because they come from a different intrument family. Violin, Viola and Cello are relatives - the double bass does not belong to this family. This mistake is also often made by spoking about the famous Höfner-bass of Paul McCartney. It is called a "violin" bass. But the shape of Pauls bass is NOT a violin - it is the shape of a double bass.

Same like any controlles can be done with petals and amp setting I almost never touch my knobs unless I accidentally hit one then I reset it
