Waiting for hip replacement and this is one of the only quad exercises I can do without pain ,it is not suggested by any of the P.T. I go to.It has helped in pain control and helped normalise my walking.

what is that cord between the dip belt's chain and the anchor point? is that like nylon climbing rope or something specific?

Done this twice to date and I’m hoping I can feel the diff in my knees. BUT! I’ve been using the Hack Squat machine at the gym. Since I’m new to this exercise, any comments if this will suffice to duplicate this? Or am I not quite there?

You ‘can’ use the Hack Squat machine with effectiveness for training the quads. The key is how you execute each rep. Having the tibia go towards parallel to the footplate is optimal
