I just got my Magnum .22 gen 2 today. Its a literal beast. It really takes a lot to cock it but the power is worth it. It has some actual recoil, I took out a squirrel with one hit with some H&N hornets and it was over within seconds. Very humane rifle

Nice video 💪 But accuracy on the lead free light weight pellets are crap. I think the .177 will do better penetration with a 10g Diablo out of The Magnum Springer. Maybe you should test the .177 vs .22 penetration test for us.

Another thing i like about the 1077 its very accurate! A carbine feel. While your cocking i'am shooting > With my new design of co2 and set up with a 1022 tanker muzzle break, its putting out about 825 fps. It did made it louder, but its more powerful ! Its very easy to handle and carry out in the field for hunting, and NOT JUST A BENCH RIFLE

so my gen 2 mag blew out the Gamo scope and the next BSA scope. Now i have another gamo scope on it, different mounting technique, tossed the one piece mount. I mounted the shock absorber sec with the pin, that part is tight, the rest is just snug. The scope rings are almost lose, just snug on the outer bolts. Trying keep rings far from and do NOT tighten down near the reticle. I read that if you pinch the scope tube too much it causes the internals from returning to zero.

My Hatsan 125 sniper will go all the way thru 3/4 inch plywood at 30 yards or even further. I would have thought the Gamo magnum would have too.

I use my 1077 to shoot Crows, Carpenter bees. I love watching the Carpenter Bees explode when there hit ~ Its FUN FUN FUN 😁 Course its a 12 shot semi automatic too ~ I put adaptor on it so i can used the 90g co2 cartridges for 300 shots + and more powerful ! The cartridge is used as a forehand stock, Making it much more confrontable to hold, and balance 👍 or i can quick disconnect to the Paint ball 20 oz Co2 tank with a shoulder strap ~ I'am really digging the 90g cartridge

Ok, but for hunting. Wouldn't you want something that doesn't penetrate but rather transfers the energy to the target? Lead would be better. Open to comments. Also, can't wait to get my hands on that magnum g2.

Should have tested it against the actual new Gamo Swarm Bone Collector G2. The G2 model has the magnum IGT Mach 1 power plant like the Sawrm magnum rifle. I believe the G2 is advertised at 1100 Fps over the model you test which is only 975 with pba pellets. Both good rifles but the one your holding is not the new one since the video states posted only 11 months ago.

I've seen a dieseled break barrel air rifle, don't remember which one but it was impressive compared to the .22 lr. Close to 50 joules. I have to find that video again

If I buy the Bone collector .22 for target shooting at the standard 10 meter competition distance, wanting to shoot half inch groups or better with the stock scope, do you think I will be happy with it or will I need to go with a better scope? Is it cabable of that group size if I do my part?

10m competition only uses a diopter sight no scopes. These are probably not the best for 10m as these are less accurate and almost twice as powerful as a 10m air rifle gun would be. Consequently 10m guns aren't good for hunting as the range is pretty much limited to 20 yards, and they lack the fps to be a decent hunting rifle. Unfortunately it doesn't look like you can have both in one gun

How thick was the plywood .I have just watched a FX Impact mk2 in .25 cal rip straight through 3/4 inch plywood at 300 yards using the 26 grain fx hybrid pellet. Cheers Dean

Dean Morriss Can't compare the energy of a 25 Cal Impact shooting slugs with the energy of a break barrel shooting pellets. Different ball parks altogether.

What pellets are you getting the best accuracy from through the swarm magnum? I really don’t want to be wasting a bunch of money on different pellets. I’ll be primarily using the rifle for squirrel sized game out to 45-50 yards max. I’ve watched all of your videos involving the swarm magnum and some show that it shoots pretty accurately and others it looks terrible. I’m new to air guns so I’m just trying to glean as much info as I can to. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

Your close to Gamo and may know the answer to this question about 2 pellets I use primarily. 1 is the Gamo Red Fire and the other I believe is the base pellet for the Red Fire the Daisy Hollow Points both in .22. I can’t find the BCs on these 2 pellets. I’m thinking it’s in the 0.018 range plus or minus a couple but don’t know for sure. I know they are both made under the same roof. Do you know what the BC is for these pellets? I push them at 907 FPS and are effective out to about 60 yards and seem to peter out relatively quickly. Thanks for the video and stay safe. Think twice before ordering on Amazon. After a few hours of research I purchased a Gamo Swarm Maxxim 10x Gen 2 but unfortunately I got a refurbished rifle, missing the magazine and broken where the magazine would go. It still has the yellow quality check sticker on the bottom but I ask myself, what quality?

Over 20FPE ESPECIALLY the Gammo magnum Gen2 is between 26Fpe and 29FPE. It goes mano a mano with the Hatsan 125 sniper .22 spring version
