Great video brother. I have the same tube shooter. I was surprised at how much slower flat bands were for the draw than tubes. I think the major benefit to shooting tubes is shooting in the wind. I just cant get accurate with them. Shooting that jug with water in it is a great test. 👍
@ChuckinSteel
@ChuckinSteel Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Mark. 👊 yeah, I feel the same thats the best benefit to them. I think 1632 may be the slowest, but at the same time, they are the most efficient. The draw is so stupid light, and all the other tubes are way heavier but very little gain in the speeds.

Are these Amazon 1632's always green in color? The affiliate link brings up 1632's in natural latex color,it does say 'may appear different color'. Assuming they are the same. I have to try making some double loops,my Scout Lt is my only frame I have that can shoot tubes. Except for a cple old school wire frames.
@ChuckinSteel
@ChuckinSteel Жыл бұрын
@Kenneth Seio you should be able to scroll down and pick which tubes you want, if nit they may be sold out at the moment. Yes the the scout lt can shoot tubes. I don't shoot looped tubes often because if I want that speed I'll shoot flats with much lighter draw. Single tubes only for me. You can always go up a lil bit in size if you like but i don't loop them. But I also shoot butterfly and not short draw.

What slingshot are you using? I like shooting tubes sometimes because their easy to shoot and they rarely break. I put 1632 tubes on a wrist rocket and was amazed at how power they had. I put 1842 on it and could hardly draw it. I still dig it out every so often.

You're welcome 🤘. I do enjoy it and especially on windy days, but rarely shoot them that much. The big kicker is the speed. You have to shoot heavy tubes for speed, which is why most people don't shoot them. It's also why everyone getting into slingshots think heavy is power. Not the case with flats

I guess I’m gonna have to try tubes. I’ll have to study up on them as I know nothing about them. I use lower cheek bone for anchor with flat-bands and don’t know if I’ll have to change that up, but been thinking about trying butterfly.
@ChuckinSteel
@ChuckinSteel Жыл бұрын
They may change it only bc they are slower, and you will probably see drop at 10m. If you can find them 1636 is the sweet spot. They are faster than 1632 and almost as light of a draw. Gzk sells them. But 1632 are extremely fun to shoot. Tubes are good at shooting in the wind and throwing heavy projectiles. To throw heavy stuff yo gotta get in the bigger tubes tho.

That is a beautiful slingshot. Which one is it. I would like to buy one. I tried my hand with the tubes. Got three rolls of 1745 and 1632 from Simpleshot. Noticed one thing, the tubes last lot longer than flat bands. Also as a begainer l had looped my tubes for more power. Big mistake, l got many fork hits on my torque.

Hey man, I’m wondering why people shoot tubes. Everything I read says they’re inferior and simple shot guy says they’re harder to be accurate with? I’m paraphrasing.
@ChuckinSteel
@ChuckinSteel 4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I understand what you're asking. I'll start with the bad, kinda of, but explain it all. Generally speaking, tubes are not made as precisely as flat bands. Which could hurt the accuracy. The shape of tubes also doesn't contract as fast in the open air as flats, which also makes them slower. That's where most of it comes from. They actually have a lot of benefits, tho. They last much longer when used correctly. They can shoot in the wind with very little problems. They are great for heavy ammunition, and they contract underwater way better than flats. The bottom line is yes, generally speaking, they are slower but accuracy wise. They can be just as accurate as flats. I always keep tubes around. It's all in what you like generally. Do I think they are harder to shoot? Maybe but not really, Lol. I have shot very accurately with them. Don't be afraid to get some and try them out. I do shoot flats 98% of the time, but tubes have their place in my shooting.

@@ChuckinSteel yeah I got talked into getting into flat bands when I hurt my shoulder but I really don't see any advantage for my personal use. I know folks that take squirrel with 1632 and 5/16 frameless rigs and I have taken way more game with tubes than flats. Now that my shoulder is healed I'll most likely gravitate back towards shooting tubes predominantly.
