The book is very good. The movie didn't do it justice.

The movie is the worst adaptation of any book I have ever seen. Completely missed the point of the book, and is an insult to the Native Americans who lost their lives. It's just an excuse for Leonardo DiCaprio to scream on camera and does not have any interest in exploring the issues laid out in the book.
