Yeah honestly Pettersson getting hurt is a problem, there's really no one on the team or in the system that can fill his role. He plays in all situations, he's Karlsson's insurance, and it's also no secret that he's their biggest trade chip. Pickering has been solid so maybe we'll see him get an even more elevated role.

@ I think Mike Sullivan is one of the top coaches in this league that’s why. I know I’ll get heat for that and I definitely have criticized him on things in the past, but I think he is a good coach and 31 other teams would definitely go after him if his time here ended. All I have to say is be careful what you wish for because you just might get it .

@@PENS68 I agree I don’t think we should get rid of him just to get rid of him especially with the choices we are given to replace him but I also think he could change thing up and give the younger players a bigger shot at getting playing time

@ He can absolutely do some things better, he is playing Owen Pickering with Kris Letang, so I do like the fact that he’s giving him an opportunity to see what he can do in big-time minutes. I see so many comments about people wanting to fire Mike Sullivan, and I always just say to myself. Be careful what you wish for because the replacement doesn’t always necessarily mean it’s going to be a good option.

Good stuff. Couple of thoughts about the Pens slow start/Sens fast start on Saturday. 1) Ottawa is playing really well right now ... 7-2-1 in their last 10, which is 2nd in the east over 10 games behind only Washington (8-1-1) and 2) the Sens had just played the night before. And while that tends to be a disadvantage as the game moves on, that also tends to help teams find their legs early. I do think it is encouraging that the Pens are definitely playing better overall lately. But yeah, they still have that early season hole to dig out of ... and keep digging.

The Jarry quote did make me laugh when I saw that I'm like dude, it's fine lol it's not against the rules, unless it's a distinct kicking motion, like you said about Crosby and Malkin, they have scored numerous goals like that in their careers. The Pens can't live up to 87's IDEALS. Trade Crosby to Vancouver for Jonathan Lekkerimaki, Tom Willander, and Elias Pettersson dman. Trade Geno to the Caps 50% retained + 25% for Andrew Cristall. Get a good pick this year and then tank completely for Gavin McKenna and or Landon Dupont. If Sid and Geno stay here they will destroy the franchise and turn the Pens MID.

Ullmark won that game for senators. Pens win 4-2 without him. He flat out robbed both karlsson and crosby

Your right Jarry played not to bad but the pens didn’t play that good in the first at all but they got better afterwards but Ullmark saves the sens all game long
