Agreed, a no-risk addition in Joseph at a position of need, especially given injuries to depth at the AHL. Joseph will provide great support for SWEDISH PHENOM AND LEGEND RICKARD RAKELL, WOOOOOOOOO!

Tanner Howe is a 2nd rounder drafted 46th overall. Harrison Brunicke was drafted 44th overall in the same draft. Tanner Howe has a good scouting report including hitting and forechecking. Alright Dubas, 2 GOOD DRAFT PICKS! Emil Pieniniemi is huge at 6'3" and is a 3rd round draft pick. Kalle Kangas is listed at 6'4" tall and was drafted in the 7th round. We'll see.

Yeah I get where Dubas is coming from with this. POJ doesn't really move the needle that much, but Pettersson is gonna be out for a little and POJ is still a better replacement than any in-house option.

Good trade. Pens get a depth dman who knows Sully's system and fits right in. He's played with Letang and has familiarity with the team. With Marcus Pettersson hurt and out POJ fits the team. Marcus Pettersson will be traded and POJ fits perfectly and makes less than $1M. POJ, Pickering, Graves and Grzylcek sounds good enough to me. We'll see. Future considerations. What the hell is future considerations. Give them a 7th, it's the Kevin Hayes trade again.

Zero problem with the POJ trade personally I think maybe he may play with Letang and Pickering who has been a sure thing this season would play with Karlsson on a top pair but whatever works hopefully

Needed a right handed defenseman so they got a left handed one that proved he can't play. Makes sense.

I like the po joseph trade. As you guys said, pettersson is most likely going to get traded by the deadline and they didn't have a replacement ready for him. Po joseph is nowhere near as good as pettersson but could be a serviceable replacement. Thank you Justin schultz for your part in bringing 2 cups to pittsburgh. He was one of the main reasons penguins won cup in 2017. With letang out, I didn't think they stood a chance to repeat but schultz stepped up in a major way.
