As a grilled cheese self proclaimed master, I can confidently say that the butter would soak into the bread and would not spread evenly if you used liquid butter. To actually have an even spread with liquid butter, you would practically need to soak the bread entirely into butter. Which don't get me wrong, that stuff tastes really good. But you don't want soggy butter bread with 250 grams of butter every time you have a meal. As a Norwegian I can say it is like eating the common American food every day.

Hint: If you don’t have spreadable butter, there is this magical box called a microwave used for 10 seconds to soften it. It will mystify even the most trained culinary artist.

It would mystify them because they think that magical box is beneath them and it's meant for peasants with no cooking skills

but don't microwave the butter inside of the packaging. instead of melted butter, you'll get some zaps and bangs and now you need a new microwave.
