The founder of Cryptoland did an AMA in voice chat the other night and it was just an absolute clusterfuck. It was hilarious. Among other things: -he made clear they'd developed detailed evacuation plans but had no idea how they were going to deal with sewage in the island - insulted his own audience by explaining they needed competent professionals to do things like manning the resort desks and not 'crypto people' - responded to a question of how they'd deal with waste with 'I don't care' -made clear they have absolutely no background in any field related to this project -responded to a question as to why they showed a casino in the advertising when gambling is illegal in Fiji with 'it's not meant to be literal' -admitted he'd cancelled the agreement to get the island and so didn't actually own it at all. Over the course of the vc it became clear that the project literally only appears to consist of two people - this guy and a woman - and they falsely listed a bunch of random freelancers they worked with on their website to make the project seem bigger and more legitimate.
