I Am Not A Lawyer Disclaimer: My thought is this. Saying that Amber "pledged" an amount of money is meaningless, like saying, "Oh yeah, I'll get to it." Just an idea, you know. The distinction is important, because she did "pledge" to do so, and its her lawyer's job to differentiate the idea from the action. Donating is a tangible action that she can be held accountable for, pledging isn't.

Real talk, as someone that was abused by his ex-wife, this hits really close to home. It's a decade later, and I finally confronted her about it, and she said it was my fault she did it and that she's never forgiven me because I haven't owned up to that. She is still presenting me as the villain in the scenario because I won't say I deserved to be hit. She said it was also my family's fault because she controlled my phone and social media accounts and read messages where they were telling me to leave her because she was hitting me. They were watching her abusing me and they told me to leave. She said if I loved her I would have cut them out and told them not to say things like that. I say all this, not to say, "I'm a victim, give me sympathy." I say it because this case is forcing me to relive it. It's forcing me to confront it. I feel safe talking about it now because I can see that it's possible to be believed. I spent a decade brainwashed into believing I had done something wrong, that I didn't try hard enough, and that I should have done things differently. I also want to address the memes. I welcome them. Just a year ago, the memes were Terry Crews being ridiculed and emasculated for admitting he was abused. Now the memes are focused on the abuser. She's the object of ridicule. That's how it should be. Fucking cunt.

Btw just a bit of insight from a law student of 3 years. The reason why Amber's lawyers are constantly throwing up objections aren't because they are desperate or actually believe the objections will work. They are trying to disrupt the rhythm of Johnny's lawyer so the testimony doesn't hit as hard as it could. It's a very common tactic of trying to bore the jury with constant disruptions so they might miss critical details or forget them once the trail is over. Which can take many months.

Edit: I've enjoyed this debate a lot, since no one could actually say anything to critique my opinion in any way. Lol. Sadly, apparently there is a maximum of comments someone can write under a comment, so i tried to discuss with people on other videos, but that really takes time, so I'm going to stop that. If you want to answer to this comment saying how dumb i am and how awfully obvious it is that shes the abuser, dont, it won’t do anything good. By the way: Since many people have mistaken my opinion, here again: Many people are looking over a lot of evidence there against him, and just taking it as it is 100% the case that she is the abuser. In that occurrence, many things like the recording of her saying she hit him are being falsely marked as 100% proof for that assumption, which it's not. I dont believe she is innocent, but if youre going to build an opinion, do it on all the evidence there is and not on the vast majority saying how obvious it is, on the charisma of Johnny, or on the fact that she cried badly, since (etc.). And again: Of course all those things are red flags, but not actual evidence, so you can "build an opinion on them" but not only them.

I am male. I was being drugged and abused by a woman. She'd apologise, guilt trip me, then it would happen again. People knew and said they would back me up. When the time came they wouldn't. They wouldn't even speak with police. All she had to do was lie about me. Call me violent and a creep and a liar. I became toxic in wider circles and as a result the people who should've backed me up didn't. I never touched her but she did me, over and over. I had explicit messages and videos of her molesting me in my sleep but people wouldn't even look It made me very damaged and scared of women. Eventually I realised it was all planned from the start. (Not all) women can be incredibly manipulative especially around men. The being abused, bad response from police don't hurt that bad. What really hurts is the way my friends, family, support networks ostrisized me because they were worried how people would perceive them. I had to deal with being made homeless, when I was still having nightmares about what happened. After therapy I was diagnosed with CPTSD which is permanent. There was 0 help. I had to fight for the 1st job, wash in the shower at work, save my money, rent a place, rebuy everything etc. It's 3 years later and I still don't have carpets. The way people just left / continue to just leave me to get on with it are the parts that really hurt. (Some) women will just lie about things like this and have absolutely 0 remorse. A lot of the time when they are lying, it's because they are doing something wrong themselves (like amber Heard cheating etc). It's important if you have a friend going through this that you speak with them about it and get the full story.

After this trial is over, I hope people take domestic abuse more seriously. The fact that some people genuinely believe women cannot be perpetrators of domestic violence / abuse blows my mind.

It’s a common mindset. Domestic abuse among men is almost, if not equally high as the percentage of female victims. Unfortunately, the media most often seems to focus on the latter, calling male victims all kinds of words and disregarding their voices. I've been in a fight where I was hit in the face a couple of times and yeah, for next few days one of my eyes was swollen, I had a busted lip, and my cheeks were bruised. Everyone I knew immediately recognized I was in a tussle and asked if I was okay, if I need to go to the hospital (which I did when my head wouldn't stop hurting), and what happened. And it was obvious too, my face looked like a balloon with how swollen it looked, like if you poked me with a needle I'd pop. If Amber was really beaten, It would have shown on her face and stayed that way for a few days before even showing signs of recovering, and even then the damage would still be obvious.
@Krawurxus2 жыл бұрын
Doesn't even take a broken nose. Any reasonably hard hit to the face will cause significant swelling and bruising for several days if not weeks that you can't just cover with make-up. There isn't enough tissue to absorb that force before it gets squished against bone. You certainly wouldn't go before any cameras looking like that. And if she actually believed her nose to be broken there's no way she wouldn't have seen a doctor immediately; for the pain if not for worry about her face - arguably her most important asset as an actress. This all comes across like a 5th grader being caught is an obvious lie yet insisting that it's all true despite overwhelming proof to the contrary.

The absolute best moment in this case was when Amber mentioned Johnny’s relationship with Kate Moss. The defense was NOT allowed to use Johnny’s previous relationships in their case, which ment they weren’t allowed to even mention for example his relation with Kate Moss. The only way for the defense to be able to address these previous relationships, was if Amber herself referred to them…which she did!!! This allowed the defense to call Kate Moss as a witness. I don’t know if her lawyer didn’t give Amber clear instructions to “whatever you say, DO NOT mention his previous relationships” or Amber just ignored their instructions.

Just commented the same exact thing. Except I was the one in the abusive relationship, and I was left in the woods to die after he beat me to a pulp. My neighbors ended up testifying in court and said I looked like a victim straight out of a CSI episode. And at my protection order hearing he admitted (after he was already convicted of DV) and he “thought he killed me so he dragged my body into the woods so he could come back at night and bury me later”. Even after all that I still got “what did you do to make him so angry” “you must have provoked him” “there’s no way he did that to you, he’s such a good guy”. Next Sunday will be my “escape day” anniversary and I haven’t spoken about it at all to anyone because of this trial. I just know someone is going to say “are you sure you’re not pulling an Amber Turd and making it up” 😞 Everyone is watching this case play out and living for the jokes making fun of her, but this case will have serious repercussions for victims. This is going to plant that seed of doubt into everyone’s mind which discourages victims to even attempt to come forward. Which in end will result in the murder of more victims…we’ve made so much progress over the past few years only for her to tarnish it all just to get back at her ex. It’s insane, she literally had it all. Money, fame, a blooming career, clearly tons of support, and she’s drop dead gorgeous. She didn’t need to do this. The only way I would even think about giving her an ounce of respect back would be if she just admitted to her faults and accept accountability. And most importantly apologize…but she wont. Narcissists are incapable of ever admitted fault. I truly hope justice is served for Johnny at the end of this. Dude, I still can’t believe she threw a glass bottle at him. I worked as a bouncer for 7 years, and have seen glassings up close. Had to clean up all that blood and bits of glass like shiny red rubies. Called ambulances while waiting with the victims as their eyeballs were slowly leaking out of the eye sockets. It’s hard to apply pressure to a bleeding eye on account of the pain when you put gauze up to it. The fact that she can say with a straight face that she cut off Johnny’s finger makes me physically nauseous, as if smelling sulphur and wondering if there’s demonic activity nearby.

Just wanna say if you get hit in the nose, even if it’s on accident, and it’s enough to think “it’s broken” BOTH your eyes will be black. As a survivor of DV who had their face smashed in and was left to die in the woods alone, my eyes were black after about 45 minutes. They stayed black (from what I can remember) for around 2 weeks… No. Just no. Being hit in the face “too many times to count” ESPECIALLY with rings involved will 100% leave injuries. Absolutely no makeup will cover it entirely (trust me I tried). She’s a fucking liar and it’s makes me sick. She’s made it that much harder for victims to be believed..she’s made a mockery of domestic violence in general. It’s to the point where I’m almost embarrassed to speak about the past that I’ve survived seeing as I was still doubted previously (even with a conviction and a protection order). IMO she should be criminally charged.

@@1unartic you’re exactly right. It contributes to the stigma that we “lie” or are somehow “at fault” for our abuse. “Well, what did she do to get him so angry?” “There is no way he is being abused by her, he’s double her size” And don’t even get me started on the fact that this also contributes to forcing the victim to provide “proof” like their injuries aren’t enough. I remember going to the police station begging them to help me and they told me my pictures weren’t “good enough” because you couldn’t see my entire face in ALL of them. The ones where my face is clearly visible I was told that I could have “doctored” the photos. I was literally told that unless I have undeniable proof of his abuse they couldn’t do anything. What was that proof? They said a video of him hurting me MIGHT be good enough. But even then it could be argued that I provoked him causing him to put his hands on me. Like there is any justifiable reason to assault someone… I actually had an officer warn me that they usually don’t do anything unless someone dies, which I should have. And even then he still got off with a fine and one day in jail. Even after he was charged he still found ways to abuse me (he took all my money since I didn’t have a bank account and it all went into his, he called my landlord and tried to get me evicted, and he stole my car and withheld it from me for months, he also shut the power and water off on my kids and I which is a federal crime). I don’t have or want anything to do with him, but the last I heard he basically got off scott free, had his records expunged, and married a 19 year old (keep in mind he got me pregnant at 17 when he was 26, and she is 6 years younger than me). People only know who he really is because I’m not silent about it. And even now (especially right now with this case) I get those a**holes that say “she must have done something to provoke him” or “how do we know she didn’t do this to herself” 🙄 one, I had a witness, two, he almost killed me because that witness spilled water.. in the sink. It’s not a coincidence that this is being said to me more right now than it ever has..it’s because this woman has made this situation involving DV out to be a joke on an international scale. I don’t believe that was her intention, but unfortunately narcissists never admit fault, they just continue to lie and lie and lie. They would rather lie until they look like a fool than ever admit fault. And this WILL impact other victims. Imagine how many victims will be doubted after this. Not being believed is the number one reason victims don’t come forward, same as SA. It’s infuriating and even though it’s entertaining watching her be ripped apart I don’t think anyone is looking at the long term damage this is going to do. I’m so worried for the women who seek help with the organization I volunteer with. I’m even more worried for the women who are too terrified to reach out to us for help. I really hope the majority have your mindset where we are able to separate the two. Amber is going to be just fine no matter the outcome of this trial, but the women who don’t have millions of dollars, who aren’t famous, and have zero resources are the ones who will suffer… I still struggle every single day trying to cope and I’m considered lucky only because I’m alive.

What everyone is overlooking is that THIS...all this...has worked for Amber all her life. She pulls bullsh*t, then gets over it, and tries to gaslight you until you don't trust your own memory. But when it comes to the law, and involves a jury, that approach falls apart.

Narcissists use this pattern of abuse BECAUSE IT WORKS. It works very well. Most people can't clear their name like this with so many witnesses. Most of the time, the narcissist's lies work. Everyone here knows a narcissist, whether they realise it or not. And everyone knows a victim of a narcissist. Sometimes we don't come across as very nice people, because our reputation has been destroyed and we have been mentally broken down into a shell of our former selves. Meanwhile the narcissist is a "pillar of society", "such a lovely woman, I don't know if he deserves her", "such a loving mother, she sacrificed so much for her children", etc etc.

@Glo0micq Жыл бұрын
Right, I always come across a video or two defending her and claiming that she's the actual victim. which granted, I don't just ride on the amber hate train because I do believe that after watching the trial in full, it's clear this relationship was extremely flawed on both sides. However it's always entertaining how they claim she was the perfect victim who did no wrong and that depp was a stereotypical abuser, and then fail to mention her ex partner whom she had very violent tendencies towards. Relationships are complicated, I hate when people act as if the world is black or white. Both Johnny and amber were flawed in their past relationship; but you can't deny amber has been caught lying and manipulating far more than the person who she claims is a manipulative wife beater.

My mom was a court reporter (AKA stenographer). She isn’t anymore because of… reasons. But when I was a kid I would watch her practice typing on her steno-machine while I drew all over her printer paper. 😂 IIRC, the steno-machine actually has it’s own alphabet, which combines certain common sounds in the English language. Not sure which ones, but it makes it so you don’t have to type every letter of a word. Either way, she practiced every day to keep her speed up. Towards the end of her career, I went to work with her sometimes. I got to hang out with her and her judge and her proofreader. That team was just like a little family to me. I really miss them Anyways, I never get to talk about this stuff. I’m glad it came up. I’m sure your stenographer appreciates you a lot, so keep up the good work. 🙏❤️

As someone who witnessed a brawl that had a guy I know repeatedly punched in the face I can tell you this with confidence. It is nearly impossible to hide the swelling and can take a decent amount of time to heal. So if she was punched like she said with a ringed hand she would have very obvious physical injuries.

Yeah, I work on a farm and was walking absent mindedly past a cow who threw it's head and caught my nose with it's horn. It was not on purpose but it busted my nose. It had only barely made contact with my nose but had given me two black eyes and my eyes were so swollen I could barely see out of them for almost a week. No amount of dollar store makeup could cover up the mess that was my face. Just some time and some plastic surgery. Needed the plastic surgery to open up my nasal passages so I could breath. Shit was wild.

As a guy whos been repeatedly punched in the face during a brawl (he sucker punched my jaw out of no where) , and I returned punches with a heavily ringed hand.... My face looked like it had a tub of playdoughed smooshed over it, but the other guys face was borderline unrecognisable. Not trying to make my self send like a big Boi with that either, I fucking hate fighting and I cried like a bitch afterwards, but honestly my rings made the guys eye swell completely closed, his jaw had an elbow, and his nose had a 90° bend in it I got hit a lot more in that brawl, except he didn't have rings, I was barely swollen but was noticeable, only thing that'd hide his swelling would deadass be a burka, a mask, or both .... Also even with rings, my knuckles were black and blue and swollen to hell, the cops noticed it on me so they sure as hell would've checked Depp's hand for the same

Worth pointing out around 12:20 in, he talks about how "It must be alot of work to be able to transcribe all this", court transcribers for high profile cases like this are required to be able to type 200 words per minute with word accuracy score in the upper 90 percentage (95-97% if memory serves). They also type in a very unique style and many if not all use a different keyboard layout compared to the average keyboard. That's not to say ALL of them are that fast, but the really good ones can make around 100K a year

Also, as a recovering addict, there’s NO WAY someone who has been using coke for a long time, like they say Depp has been, makes lines so small, and rocky, and four of them, then just leaves them. No. He would’ve done at least one line, and there would’ve been a residue trail. Those 4 lines are equal to a fat line, so at most, there would be two. At least that’s my opinion. And also, that tudor made from a pen has no residue. It looks like it was just cut. And the card sitting there has no residue, or wear signs on it, normal things you’d see with coke usage. You clean the card usually after your lines are done and you’re done scraping the table.
