TBOMD Me too. I think because he’s smart, well spoken, open minded, and not an asshole about his opinions. He seems like someone who is capable of changing his mind. Unlike Ricky Gervais, who could be a condescending, insulting snob about his attitudes/beliefs. I actually agree with many of his opinions, but feel put off by him sometimes.

TBOMD - I feel the same. I personally can't subscribe to his libertarian ideals, but have to admit that he has a prodigious intellect, plus he is so thoughtful, measured and deliberate when talking, that I love listening to him philosophise, whether I agree with what he says or not

People that haven't been to college have a very strange idea of what college is like. Unless you're a political science major, you're only going to have one or two classes that touch on politics. The vast majority of students only go to see speakers if they get extra credit for it. Those people spend more time drinking, getting high, going to sporting events, and/or going to concerts. There's only a minority of hardcore politically oriented people. A vocal minority, but a minority.

Box Top But their politics seeps in to everything. They teach a version of history, science, sociology etc that is very left leaning and it infiltrates both the classes and the culture of colleges. Students come out with a left leaning slant whether they are politically active or not.

Yes Adam I was just going to say this. From my experience in Canada, University-College is not this open utopia of ideas freely expressed and argued. Its hardcore far leftists, many openly Marxists, many who are mentally ill(Yes, Im serious), who are beyond reproach, and who have never done anything outside of the school setting and have very little idea of how "the real world" works. They also believe they know more than others and are smarter than everyone else which is a dangerous way to stop learning, to stop challenging your own beliefs and to stop growing as a human being. A student wants to do well in College and get that degree so only a simpleton would disagree with the all-powerful person who is in charge of the course that will help you obtain it.
