@@TSGReelService I have the 450ss. Can I use your 450SSG video as a guide? Thanks for taking the time to answer.

You're welcome and no worries. You can use the 550ss kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIKXc3ardqeAaK8 If the link doesn't work, you can do a search in KZbin for "tsg 550ss" Hope that helps.

Great video, but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. When I got finish, my spool hits the rotor when it comes down? Any suggestions on how to fix this
@TSGReelService9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and following along. If your reel wasn't doing this before, then check to make sure your washers under the rotor are there. If so, then check the sleeve (the little metal piece) of your anti-reverse.... you may have it upside down (the deeper cut needs to be facing down), which could cause the rotor to ride high. It could also be the block (worn), but you should have been hearing the scraping before the service. Besides that, I can't think of anything else..... so, if it's none of those two, the rotor or shaft was probably bent and you didn't notice...... check the spool/rotor side interaction as the spool goes up and down..... go slowly..... if neither the sides or bottom are scraping the spool, but the spool is "bottoming out" on the rotor when you crank faster, and everything else is correct, change your crosswind block. Hope that helps. Other readers, feel free to chime in with your thoughts if you have something to add that I may have missed. Thanks.

Um what happens if you break off that fragile post thing?!…oops
@TSGReelService3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. If you broke yours off, it'll be fine... the reel will function properly without it. I'm pretty sure I have a video in my library on an SS (I think) that had the post partially broken when I opened it... in it, I show you how to put the reel back together without the support there. Spread the word about the channel.
