Penn Squall 30VSW for CHEAP Penn Squall 60LD Single or 2 speed

think of amazon like ebay, individual sellers. Most likely what you bought was a reel marked down that a seller only had 1 of. After you bought it the next reel of that same model number was 299 from a different seller on amazon, thats why the price changed like that.

I'm planning to get the 16vs, I'm seeing them running for around 280, if I find a good deal on a 30vse I'm picking that up, on my 16 I'm probably going to go straight 50-60 mono, might do like 80-100 braid, idk yet, I think I'm gonna get a Penn rampage rod, roller tip and bottom, should end up being about 400-450 down into the setup, should be a great budget setup

Sorry for the late reply. I use Reaction tackle 8 strand brain on all my reels. On my two 30vsw's I use150lb and 120lb. On my 60LD I use 100lb test. I've never had any issues or breaks

I got the 30 on deal last year. These reels are under recognized. They are Shimano TLD killers. People on the east coast love them. I got both these reels. Being a lefty I learned really quick that right hand retrive is the way to go for big tuna fighting on the rail. I put the 30vsw on a budget rail rod, Graphtech GRR78XXXXXH 130-Unlimited. 600yds of 80lb suffix 832, with 100 yds 80lb izor copolymer on top. I consider this the ultimate budget cow tuna setup. I have yet to catch a big one on it. We'll see if there is such a thing as a budget cow setup.

I finally get to take out the svw this weekend and I ended up pairing it w a Dogfish 15H 40-80 rod. It's a company out in FL. The rod is sick I may get another one. Deff a budget cow setup

Yes it's 💯 good for tunas! Got 11 tunas in the boat for the season as a 1st time tuna fisherman. And 3 thresher sharks 😂 great reel at a budget price 👌

@@LuisMiguelGarciaTorres The 1st 30 on a 7ft Dogstick 15h rated 40-80lb Rod (caught 3 bft 25-30lb grade last Sat). The 2nd setup on a 7'6 Railrod 80-120lb. Both spooled w/ 120lb braid. I'll post a video after next Sat's trip. Good budget bft setups
