Penn St. for sure has another level of athlete on their team. Boise hasn't recruited as well as they did during the Chris Petersen era but it's good to be back in the conversation. I think Boise should have had a home playoff game vs a top team, the bye was too generous. Definitely deserved to be in it though.

Boise was ranked 9th. That’s not high enough to justify a home playoff game. Combine that with the fact that BSU’s stadium holds fewer people than teams travel, there is no way BSU deserves to host a game. They’re so overrated that we could talk about how they really didn’t belong in the playoffs

Great point that there's no 3 point shot in college football. The closest thing would be a turnover or special team score. But those are dependent on the other team making mistakes. Boise never trailed by more than 7 after halftime in any game. A two score lead will be hard for the underdogs and a 3 score lead is impossible. PSU could've ended the game in the 1st quarter had they scored and not fumbled when up 14-0.

If PSU wins games they're supposed to win they're garbage. If they lose games they're supposed to win they're garbage. I love the moving of the goal posts. I can count multiple teams who could've had the easy route had they won the games they were supposed to win during the regular season.

@@CollinWestland WVU, Illinois, USC, Wisconsin, Minny, SMU and BSU were all upset alert games. The down to the wire games were Bowling Green, USC, and Minny. But wins are wins when a lot of teams lost to 5 win teams but thought they were playoff worthy.

I don't put any stock in the Oregon/Boise game, but if people will insist on putting stock into it like they were for the past two weeks, then Penn State played them so much better than the Ducks did. And it was without their two top defensive players in Carter and Winston. "James Franklin never wins big games so he'll lose to SMU and Boise, but it's SMU and Boise so I'll say it means nothing when PSU wins." 25 consecutive wins against teams they're favored against. They just take care of business. A model of consistency.

What?!? Penn State had multiple long runs called back on BS calls. Boise false started the entire first half uncalled, for Christ sakes their TD was a false start. Penn State had MORE YARDS on penalties than Boise state. Your logic is failing

Boise st did not belong in this playoff and it showed. 31-14 wouldve been worse if penn st didnt commit as many penalties and terrible play calling. Penn st played horribly after they went up 14-0 and still managed to win by 17. If they didnt beat themselves so much they could've blew this team out 45-14 .

Why keep moving the goal posts? People said PSU could never make the top 4. They finished ranked in the top 4. Now they're in the final 4. Did anyone say PSU has been stacking top 5 classes or invested 8 figures into their roster like OSU, Oregon, and Texas? At some point just tip your hat to Franklin for winning games he's supposed to win and keep it moving. Many coaches struggle with that concept.
