I miss this era. GSP is truly an elite! the man retired at his peak at a young age of 32 then comes back after 4 years and fought for the middleweight title and won then retires again. I just wished he fought more at his peak but hey not anybody can say that they retire being at the top while being completely at peace with their decision.

It had nothing to do with it being a " grape/wine farming communityish place" or being "random" because of that. Nick's point in that entire statement was that somebody from his own area was cheering for the outsider and not the person from their own community. If you know anything about the Diaz brothers, it's that they are fiercely territorial, some might even say to the point of it being a gang mentality. To them, you don't root against your own people.

"Literally" and "actually" are synonyms. So let's revise your incorrect sentence: "you are ACTUALLY as casual as you could be". Still doesn't work, does it? It’s always crazy to me that at the end of every Diaz brother fight there is always Nate or Nick standing there looking like they just went for a brisk morning walk and then there is the other guy absolutely gasping for air getting his hand raised haha. Like they say, Diaz brothers don’t lose, they just run out of time. That’s why everyone loves them. Under unified mma rules they might lose, but I don’t think anyone could ever look at how drained their opponents are and see Nick and Nate looking like they could go another hour and call that a lost fight

People fight their weight in safe environment and then pretend to be G. No one is real G, unless a normal citizen challenge 252 countries Nato to fight 20 years. I mean Afghani people. They aint army men, but citizens, without training, fighting for centuries. They too only fight for religion, not for pride, not for status, not for money. It was a very technical fight. I've never seen a fight that went quite like this one. Not the most exciting fight ever, but not boring either. I was very confident at the time that GSP would win, because of his superior wrestling, and because they were relatively even everywhere else. A lot of guys can't handle Diaz's endurance and pressure fighting, but I just didn't think that GSP was going to have that much trouble with that style and skillset. GSP's striking is a bit different than Diaz's, but he's on a similar level, and with better kicks. Hendricks, on the other hand, was the ideal style and skillset to give GSP a lot of trouble (and I suspect that Hendricks was on steroids too). It seems pretty obvious that Nick was never on steroids. Speaking of Steroids, I find it funny that Nick thought GSP was insinuating that he might be on steroids. No way, GSP just wanted people to know that he was clean, obviously he wouldn't suspect Diaz of using steroids! But Diaz is just often not very good at reading people I think. You can be forgiven for wondering whether GSP was ever on any PED's, because he was always very strong and very well built, but personally I don't think that he did. Some people are just unusually strong. The genetics lottery isn't fair, but GSP was always very well trained and hard working as well. He didn't just train for fights, he was always in amazing shape, and probably still is even in retirement. It wasn't a good matchup for Diaz, but it's not like Diaz looked particularly bad either. Most of GSP's opponents looked worse against him than Nick did.

I personally don't find UFC entertaining anymore without the Diaz-brothers. They got me "into it". From the legendary fights with Gomi, Lawler etc. to the 5th season of TUF, all the Helwani-interviews and to the sad, rotten NSAC-shit... If ever you read this, I wish and hope you will come back someday. Until (hopefully) then, thanks for all the memories you've brought. All the best! #nickdiazarmy

They’re really who they are and they did kinda get fucked by the company. Both of those kids grew up hard and they both kinda react like caged animals when they perceive people are trying to disrespect them. I don’t think they’re bad dudes just got dealt a bad hand in their early years. Especially Nick the way he acts I feel like something really really bad happened to him whereas Nate has kinda made it clear his brother looked out for him. They just have bad social skills. His girl also walked into traffic like 20 years ago

The one thing I never understood about GSP, and I wrestled for 11 years. He NEVER wrestled at all, before he began his MMA career. But he quickly learned how, somehow....to just manhandle the BEST wrestlers in the world!! I don't get it!! He could take them down when nobody else could...it was just weird as hell. That's what made him so brutal. On his feet, he could break people up, and on the ground, he was just as bad. He would just mount people, I don't care who it was, and just ground them to dust..The National Champion from Oklahoma State was the first one that gave him hell, but that was on his feet as well.

GSP was extremely explosive and also have very good timing at coming in when his opponenet stepped toward him. He was also great at mixing punches and kicks with his double legs and the other guy could just never predict what he was going to do next.
