Depends on the type/test line you will use, and the style of fishing you will do. The 12VISX would work on the 80-200 rods, while the 12VI and 12VIS would be good on the 50-130, and 30-80 models. The 16VISX would pretty much over-balance any of those rods, but the 16VIS would be nice on the two heavier models.

The original version certainly ahead of its time back in 1965, but the technology of the modern versions is drastically improved over the old ones, plus the old versions were not designed to work with superbraid-type lines.
