It's hard to believe but there are still early date Lincoln's in circulation. I like to coin roll hunt cents for fun and I have come across many teen's and twenty's in everyday rolls. I'm 67 and have been collecting since I was 8. There is still a lot of fun to be had in the hobby.

Daniel, Your video's are very good for any type of collectors. I wish I had much of this info long ago but one thing is the most important is dealing with a reputable dealer. When I inherited a lower grade coin collection (some coins were desirable) but I looked at a 1914d penny and I knew right away it was a 1944d cent that was filed down on the 4, wide gap there and a scratch and your heart just sinks not because I lost out but some creep stole from my dad.But your advice on getting a red book or other info should be done before you go out to buy a key date coin.

I don't care what Rick says, he doesn't make them or get to name them, the US Mint makes them and the US Mint calls them pennies and cents, either way. Britain calls there's pennies or a penny. Ther exclusive attention given on your videos to U.S. coins and notes tells me that, like nearly all of small coin shop operators in America, you ignore the rest of the world. I'm an American in possession of numerous complete sets of Mexican, Canadian, Swiss, French, German, Italian, Greek, etc. coins of many denominations; but know that I would not get full market value for them here if I were to try to sell them. Daniel.. Excellent video. As you mentioned, counterfeits of the keys are very plentiful. In my experience, the counterfeits are probably made from pure copper, and do not contain the other metals present with copper in the genuine coin. As a result, the color tends to be a little darker than the genuine coins, although environmental exposure and/or chemical treatment might render a counterfeit coin with close to the "normal" color of a genuine coin. Keep up the great work !!
@CoinHELPu2 ай бұрын
Not all are darker. I have can find plenty that are made of the same or similar alloy at etsy.
