It's hard to believe but there are still early date Lincoln's in circulation. I like to coin roll hunt cents for fun and I have come across many teen's and twenty's in everyday rolls. I'm 67 and have been collecting since I was 8. There is still a lot of fun to be had in the hobby.

I really like the toning on these pennies. Some people like me can't afford the submission price for grading

I have a 1919 dark in color, trying to find the value. it's dark but in really good condition, it's way expensive to get each coin graded. I wish I had the finances ti do this!

I would think the 1922 no mm would be the most counterfitted coin ! I did get taken awhile back buying a 1807 liberty $1 and funny it weighed out pretty close to the real thing ! Cool coin tho ! Sad there are sellers asking 100's even 1000's for these fakes on E-bay ! Buyer beware !

I had a 14d red brown in pretty good condition. Not a coin grader, but assume it to be 50,55 or better. Lcd offered me 10 dollars, next one offered 22 dollars . Ended up selling to local collector for $1000. Might still have been to low but needed the money, and was happy. My point is due your homework, and shop. These 2 dealers lost my business forever.
@davidtree2511Сағат бұрын
Sounds like you have some scummy LCD. Even in mutilated shape, a 14d goes for $20-30 (corrosion, bent up, and so on). A quick search on Ebay showed a G04 1914-D sold for $169 yesterday.

. thanks for the positive feedback. Wish I could have kept it, but the last 4 years have been the worst of my life. Started collecting coins in the mid 60's when they stopped making silver. Had that one almost as long. More bad lcs's then good ones. I know it's expensive to run a shop, and have to make money, they have families to feed to,but how about being fair. You know I'm not the only one. One of the worst ones is the us mint. Tons of bags and proofs not worth 25% of what I paid. Did have a few homeruns though. I'm getting old now so I'm through collecting. Thanks again. And pray it's profitable for you.

Daniel, another informative video. Thank you. I thought the 1972 penny was another highly counterfeited?
@CoinHELPu7 сағат бұрын
Why would that be counterfeited? It’s not worth anything unless it’s a major doubled die.
@billweinholtz1547 сағат бұрын
@@CoinHELPu I’d heard they were split and replaced with a counterfeit obverse and this was done , but there was a die chip on the real ones
@CoinHELPu6 сағат бұрын
No, that is not accurate, you have it mixed up with another coin. 1972 cents are not worth anything special.
@billweinholtz1546 сағат бұрын
@@CoinHELPu okay but the 1972 cents had doubling correct?
@CoinHELPu3 сағат бұрын
@@billweinholtz154 this is where you should do research., Use varietyvista.com and look up 1972 doubled dies.

Sorry I disagree with you that an 09-VDB is a semi-key Lincoln. I can think of 10-12 Lincolns rarer then the plain vanilla 09-VDB.

Trying to see if anyone is looking for a one cent, 1998, Canada
@JamesKrawl8 сағат бұрын
Daniel.. Excellent video. As you mentioned, counterfeits of the keys are very plentiful. In my experience, the counterfeits are probably made from pure copper, and do not contain the other metals present with copper in the genuine coin. As a result, the color tends to be a little darker than the genuine coins, although environmental exposure and/or chemical treatment might render a counterfeit coin with close to the "normal" color of a genuine coin. Keep up the great work !!

Awesome 👍 my favorite cions in video thank you Daniel!!!!! I had at one point four 1909 vdbs one was so damaged it wasn't worth much more than a penny. I don't have those key dates , but who knows maybe I'll get them in penny boxes from the bank. I won't buy those off any websites. I will however buy them when I can afford them from you if you have them. Thanks again for doing this video on my favorite coins.

Anybody want to buy some wheat pennies I have them, got about 200 of them or more.
@madmattdigs95185 сағат бұрын
They’re very common. You can buy bulk wheat cents from any coin shop for 4 cents each. Unless you have key dates, like the ones mentioned in this video, or mint state examples, that’s all they’re worth. A few cents each.
