I listen to your videos and i think to myself, man, that dude loves coins. I haven't seen anyone on here that teaches better. I appreciate you sir. I am grateful for you.

Thanks Daniel. This will teach the seller (as they will want to research) and teach the buyer. Key is to be correct on what you find.

I've seen so many of those LoL I spend those as junk. But of course I don't like the new cents anyway. My personal preference for cents is the older ones. I would like to acquire the even older cents and some day I will.

Daniel, thank you for liking my comment. It was sincere. Just as sincere will be my appreciation for your answer to my question about devaluation of pennies due to carbon spots on them. Thanx.

I'd agree that this would be a good learning tool for a new collector of coins. People need to educate themselves.

Novel, Daniel. Some of the best and easiest educational techniques are those in plain sight that we take for granted. This video taught me something new, actually several new things. My gratitude to you for another unique and interesting perspective.

Filled dies, cool side collecting. Have 1973 Ike dollar, obverse ms63-65, reverse heavily filled good 6 maybe over 80%. Bottom of moon is mint state. A nice example of this type of error.

Thanks.

Or better yet you can teach them that they can just find these themselves for face value. This type of thinking justifies people putting any kind of junk up for sale as long as it is described properly. I don't understand.

Those look cool... I think the coins that have a noticable scratch on the planchet like thicker or even a lil deep or longer like have the planchet, those coins are really cool... The Die still strikes the planchet & the strike is clear BUT the scratch can be seen going behind letters or the monument... those are cool...

I admire and respect your extensive knowledge. Thank you for sharing so much of it with us, Daniel. I have a question about pennies. By how much, percentage wise, approximately do carbon spots devaluate a penny (everything else being equal,age, condition etc.)?
@dennisduebelbeis297425 күн бұрын
Thank you Daniel! It would great if you could have an example of the die clash before they removed it through die filing.

Mine is cool on reverse kinda cool the obverse on his jacket, almost exclusively, which makes him super cool. I call him "Disco Abe" because his jacket is bedazzled. 😂

The things that make anomolies valuable is how dramatic or easy it is to see, to something that is described with a catchy name like: accented hair kennedy, or 3 legged buffalo. the catchier the name the more people look into it and the hype train starts rolling. one thing too about the example of filling die and weak or missing letters is in some cases it means the other side has a cud or broken rim die so the reverse side doesnt have enough metal to form the letter cause the metal is blobbed up on that broken rim die side. but, a wiped die/ missing or weak lettering is usually it.
@CoinHELPu24 күн бұрын
3 leg or Accented hair are die varieties not anomalies and cuds are die breaks, the coins in this video are not die breaks. I did this video because of this king of misinformation. Educate yourself and stop using your opinion, mint errors and varieties are objective not subjective.

Hey buddy, I've watched a few videos from the market change report from Blue ridge. Coins that have sold with some severe plate blistering, finger feeder / die trails and even some machine / hub doubling & good misaligned dies! But keep in mind, most all of these coins were in good condition .

What is the cause of the circle on a lot of pennies? I have guessed it is from getting put in rolls but still don't know. I just want to know if someone could tell me I haven't seen you talk about it.
@jaminmaki424324 күн бұрын
It's caused by a crimping tool that tightens the paper roll. It's damage.
@austin401824 күн бұрын
@jaminmaki4243 I knew it was damage. Thanks for the name.. 👍

In the last few months I’ve found a couple of quarters with a pebble finish. One is real strong front and back while the other one is not but still has the same appearance. Can’t find anyone to give me an opinion ✌️.

Did that penny have some doubling on "in god we trust" ? Also ? Overall still a nice penny ! Should still be classified as a mint error !

I have found many errors that Tru you now I know how to call them like blisters the looks like shadow of the letters too but besides that I have many with rim errors specially 1987 ones and 86 too but they are truly errors and many more like the 2023 pennies on the reverse you can find many of doubling on pliburous letters ddo
