I’m ready for spring too! I have to container garden here but it’s hard with so much direct sun on our deck. But I think I’ll try again this year anyway.

Oh man, you make me wanna start seeds too!!! I'm in western pa, so it will be a little bit until we can plant outside, but we've had a warm winter too. Which bums me out because I love a snowy winter! ❤️

Can you believe here in Arizona I can’t plant stuff outside until June 1st? I get so antsy to get out in the garden this time of year. I decided to make a gardening curriculum for the kiddos this year so they are in charge of documenting everything from seed to harvest. I’m excited about it!

I'm in AZ too! I've been wanting to start a little garden, but not sure what i can even plant here or how 😩
@katielindsey4481 Жыл бұрын
@@peachy_reina you can grow so much! If you’re intimidated just buy a few plants from lowes or something. Start with tomatoes, peppers and squash those are pretty easy.

I would double check that 🤔 I just checked several places in AZ because that didn't seem right at all and all of them are showing planting outside anywhere from Feb to May depending on the location and the plant type.

@@peachy_reina Arizona heat is great for a lot of southern crops like peppers, okra, etc. There's also plenty of crops you can probably grow all winter long like leafy green vegetables!
@katielindsey4481 Жыл бұрын
@@GoodPersonTestWebsite you’re right it does depend on where in Arizona. In southern Arizona it’s around Mother’s Day and in northern Arizona it’s June 1st. In the middle of the state it’s earlier. It’s best to check with locals on their success over the years rather than online zone suggestions.

Question: I have a SD starter that I had in the fridge for a few months now. I took it out the other day and noticed the liquid on top was brown. Do I need to throw it away?
@PenniesAndSalt Жыл бұрын
Nope, that’s called “hooch”. You just pour it off and start feeding it again 😉
