I agree with a lot of you, that Daya was not a good person by the end of the show. But I liked the arc they gave her. You see characters like Pennsatucky, who started off as a horrible human being but as she spent more time in prison she began striving to be better. Maritza, who was never actively horrible, but could definitely be considered shallow and selfish, eventually grew and sacrificed her own freedom in the hope she could help others. But I like that they showed that it’s not always the case. Daya was never perfect, but (the Bennett mess aside) she was actually a decent human being when she came into prison, bar the bad choices that landed her there, and the system made her the person she became by season 7, it beat her down until she gave up trying to fight back. Not ever character needs a redeeming arc, and I actually really enjoyed watching the tragedy of Daya’s arc in the show.

Her death hit me like a train... this was the one show that had me emotionally attached to the characters... and it’s weird but it makes total sense that some of those characters in a show about a prison would not have a happy ending but her development throughout the show made us thinks that everything was going to be alright for her... great written show with AMAZINGLY written characters.

My best friends (3 guys) since high school came over while this episode was on. They saw this scene and lost it. Non of them have ever seen this show and they were crying for a character they knew nothing about. OITNB is a show that will go down in history as one of the best shows ever because of the emotional hold it has on you.

This show really exposed people who may be more privileged to what life is like for people stuck in the system & especially people currently stuck in prison. This show was a masterpiece. I think it made a lot of people see "criminals" differently and for that im greatful ❤

first scene and last sceen in the laundry... what hits me the most was the moment, they show up her graduation-certificate wich she never had in her hands...i cried. but overall i asked myself where was boo? they were so good friends and nothing?

Minas Tirith she was in another jail in Ohio. You can see Alex move there with the rest of the cast. We don’t know if she ever heard from Alex or if she stayed oblivious to what happened. Still heart breaking because Boo was the reason Tiffany changed for the better. If Boo was there with her I really think she wouldn’t have died.

When crazy eyes says “Breakfast for dinner...for breakfast” that’s when I lost it. We saw both of them grow in so many ways. Dogget used to be hated amongst us all and now we are here, crying over her death. And CE used to, well, be crazy so watching her understand what happened and not breakdown but just accept it, truly an amazing show.

This final episode shook me up big time. No cliche happy endings. It was a great dose of reality and was very refreshing to see how it all played out. Tiffany dying, Taystee serving extra time for a crime she did not commit, Cindy ending up homeless, Red and Lorna losing their mentality, the deportations, Nicholls essentially left alone and Piper and Alex not moving on from one another. I have never felt so emotional watching tv. Well done on the excellent writing and performances. Going to miss the OITNB ladies like crazy x

Her death hit me harder than any other death in the show because she made it so far and developed so much in the best way possible and then in the episode before the last one, she was just gone. It was worse when taystee saw that she got her GED. Pousseys was sad too but it started something huge. It started change in real life and on the show. But Doggets death was pretty much signed off as just another death. I get why pousseys death was so huge but Doggets death was treated as if it was unimportant. That sucked

This luscheck killed her. She prepared for this exam a lot. She was totally changed. Nothing bad was left. She was clean. She faced her whole life. From her friends side from her family side by her love side she faced a lot. When she was changed she was clean she just prepared for a test very hard. But an idiot luscheck didn't write for some extra time. She failed exam and went to wrong side again. I can handle this. I am thinking about her from 2 days. I know this is fake story just a show but i don't know why i can't stop this. My eyes are full of tears from 2 days. Really i can't stop and i don't why. May be this is bcz i watched this whole series in just a week. That is why this is on my mind. In just a week only. Now its in heart on my mind..
