Hello Tyler, I have been watching several of you videos and I love you content, I used to practice longboarding 10 years ago when I was 14 back in Lima Peru, I tried to use a penny board too (not an original penny though) but I found it hard to control back then. Now I live in Miami and I am getting motivated to buy a penny board just for cruising, especially since the prices are really good.

Super stoked to hear! Glad you dig them, and it’s exciting to know you’re motivated to get back into cruising again. Rock on🤘🏼

Buy yourself a nickel board. It a little bit bigger than penny but more comfortable to ride

Hey Tyler, how do I get over my fear of stop rocks? I've been practicing pennyboarding as a form of transport but I nearly fell face first from a small stop rock because I wasn't going fast enough, and I fell back first a couple months back due to a stop rock. I've gotten back to pennyboarding last week but the fear of stop rocks prevents me from making progress. The pavement around definitely doesn't help as pebble and rocks are nearly everywhere. I'm thinking of getting much softer wheels like some 78a wheels to help but do you have any tips to avoid stop rocks while cruising or maybe different ways to avoid terrain imperfections for beginners? Thanks Tyler😊

Hey, good question. Unfortunately, there's not a ton to do to avoid them. Yes, bigger and softer wheels will deal with them better, but it's still not going to be perfect. Going faster helps a little too. I would also generally recommend bending your knees and shifting your way back more on your board when going over them. Besides that, doing your best to avoid rocky areas or physically moving them while you're there are the only things you could do

Buy yourself a longboard 70mm 78a wheels and some riser pads and you good to go. As for now you can also practise some manual, this will help you in the future

Ordered my first pennyboard. I have a question regarding it. Is it possible to cruise on it with let's say a 12 pounds backpack? I like longboard too but I bloody hate the fact that it's huge and carrying it is not good. Btw I'm a bicycle guy myself been cycling my whole life but decided to try cruiser and longboard. With pennyboard it's easy to attach it to bicycle compared to longboard.

Fun to hear! And you can most certainly wear a backpack and cruise (mostly as long as you’re still under the actual board’s weight requirement). I’ve ridden wearing a backpack and/or a duffel bag before myself! Obviously the more it weighs, the harder it’ll make it for you, but yes, it’s still possible 👍🏼

@@pennyboardtyler Tried it for the first time. So far so good but have to avoid going too fast downhill because it can get dangerous fast and obviously have to avoid rocks and uneven pavements. How much different is a good longboard with 70mm wheels from the pennyboard?
@pennyboardtyler4 ай бұрын
@@sergeyloverow2105 I mean if you are trying to go down hills and ride on roads that have rocks/a lot of uneven pavement, a longboard in general is going to be a better bet overall just because of the stability and larger wheels

How you order that color of Penny? I don't see this models on the website.

So I got this board many years ago, and I bought it on Facebook marketplace from someone else. I was not aware if they stopped producing it!

The title is a little bit misleading. I thought that you gonna pennyboard across America but you just ride with your car and pennyboard in different cities
@pennyboardtyler4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't think it was that misleading as the thumbnail says "road trip," but I can re-title it
