I'm really interested in the wheels/tires and their specs, this is the perfect stance and look. It would help me so much, thank you!

Thanks for the memories! Owned and drove a 1972 Datsun 510 from 1975 - 1982. Awesome car!

I bought a brand new 1972 510 in early 1973. I was sixteen years old. My dad arranged a bank loan, and I paid every car payment, my insurance, gas and maintenance from working a 20 hour a week part time job. Loved that car, and drove the living dogs$it out of it. :)

Salute. I worked out something similar with my dad. Sad thing is, mine was a beetle and it wasn't quite as durable as a Datsun or Toyota. 18 mos I paid more in repairs/maintenance than for the car itself. hahah

That rear view mirror is an absolute unit!

My dad had three of these when I was growing up in the 80s. Great cars, except that they rusted easily in the snow belt.

kinda true for most cars back then - not just the Japanese imports. up north is a tough environment for rolling steel.

This makes me realize that modern 6 does manuals are a LOT of shifting. I think manuals might have held on a bit better if they were less work, like this.
Add the rotor button and thieves be like.......wheres the engine cover......

Shifting is living. Livin and lovin the drive.

Great little car! And, great road! I run a nearly identical road here in northern Michigan H58 aka "Hurricane Highway" in my 2007 Saturn Sky Turbo (tuned) or my 2003 H-D VRSC V-Rod. When ya know, ya know! 😏 Nice driving in a power nothing car. Looking like a very fun car.

Thanks! Enjoyed your drive. I had a '72 Datsun 510; 8/'78-8'82. Same color as yours, or yellower. From NH, Drove it round the US, to college in WA. Up Twin Lakes' Cascades mountain in college. After, to Zuni, NM, to work as a teacher. Free revving SOHC zippiness. Stock, except the repl. exhaust pipe was custom tucked closer to underside for better ground clearance: 1st 6 months I lived 1 1/2 mi in NH woods; car needed to drive the first mile.

I like the 1969, 70, 71 and 72 521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks. Wish they would manufacture these small cars and trucks like they had back then with 4 cylinder engines and great fuel economy like they were known to have at the time. Gasoline prices are up to 6 dollars a gallon once again these days, and these small cars and trucks are the perfect thing to handle these outrageous gasoline prices experiance these days.

That car sounds sick! My 1973 with the L16 didn't sound quite like that. The cars stance is absolutely perfect, too.

Nice looking dime. Funny I thought I was the only guy gripping the wheel 10 & 2 and wracheting around corners in my lowered 510. It ante for getting safe driver points, it's +7 degrees of caster cuz bump steer is for real. Sounds like a pretty stout well balanced L series in there. Rebello maybe? I know it's a Povlovian psychosomatic memory response, but I can smell the gas from those Webers. On my yellow & black SR20 510 I have the same clean look with no wipers, door/trunk locks, plat light, and side markers shaved, and all the bright work removed or powder coated black. I still have bumpers but they're paper thin carbon fiber and purely for show.

What a car! The look itself just pushes me back to 90s even tho I have no existence in 90s.Datsun itself is delicacy, premium and nostalgic♥️♥️Such a lovely car and the sound ooh man
