Classic game! Thanks for posting this. Please put up the first of these Japan games too! Penny had his first dunk of the season there, I believe. Over Bradley. He started slow but still ended up with something like 22 points. Cheers!

Me too I'm a big Penny and NickVanExel fan in that order . That's whom I patterned my game off of in the mid 90s.

Hubie Brown was the color analyst for that game back in 1996 and he just did the game for Bucks-Celts this past Saturday. That's longevity.

Moving to 2 guard and bulking up was a mistake for Penny
@fade2black19822 жыл бұрын
It would have been nice to see Penny play with a star 2 guard at the time (like say a Mitch Richmond), and add an all star big man. That would have been a fun team.
@carlwallace1129 Жыл бұрын
I believe it's a doubled edged sword. If he would not had bulked up and stayed more explosive and lean wiry built,he would have transitioned much better to the 2spot without being just a post threat being bigger . That bulk made him extremely top heavy which killed his knees and feet. IF he stayed at the point guard full time in that era it would have wore his lower extremnies out chasing them shorter faster pg's as well but he still would have been spectacular on offense and got plenty of steals.

@@fade2black1982 absolutely 💯 he could have had a above average big like Elden Campbell that's skilled and not too ball demanding but serviceable. Penny and Mitch Richmond or even Eddie Jones would have been nice 👍🤔.
