I will say in advance that once we get to a point where it is nearly impossible to add any more wheat cents to the album, we will then halt the series and try to fill the rest of the slots with existing finds or coins in my duplicates collection. "Nearly impossible", brother, that's why we hunt. I am still looking for that 1877 Indian Head Penny, I found an 1860 Indian Head Penny other day in G2, still a $10 coin. I think the older pennies are closer to the real old cities like St. Augustine, Florida., Jamestown; Hampton; Kecougton; Newport News.,Virginia, Santa Fe., New Mexico, Albany., New York and Jersey City., New Jersey. Have been my luckiest cities for old pennies.

Always nice to start out the new year with a couple of old wheats. I’d rather find two old ones then a whole bunch of late date ones. I tried to get pennies yesterday but neither of the two banks I checked had any pennies to sell. All I got this year so far is the 1955P quarter in the Coinstar.

Rob, new to your channel, very enjoyable viewing. May I ask what may be considered a silly question? Watching that 2 box penny roll hunt, at the end you mention you have 5 lbs of copper, why is that important, what can you do with that? Apologies for the newbie question but curious why that is important to mention. Keep up the nice work, thank you!

he saves all copper pennies.

You really can't do anything with the copper cents right now, but in the past you could melt them and make a profit since they have more than a cent of copper.

it is illegal to melt down pennies so Rob is just stacking them. I do the same thing.
