I bought a penny board a week ago, It's great to cruise and surprisingly, it hasn't thrown me off when I'm going faster than I feel is possible on such a small board. I ride it from school every day and I'm excited to use it more. I want to go on adventures like you do once I'm a little better. It's been easier to adopt to the small board but I want to get a little better before I go far

which one would be better for first time learning for a beginner? i tried out the penny and the regular globe bantam but the regular globe was too heavy while the penny felt too unstable(?) because it felt so small and thin when i stood on it... would the globe bantam ST feel more stable? i know both the penny and the globe bantam st aren't good choices for beginners but im looking for a light board...

I love the Bamtam st. i had a red one with yellow wheels for about 3 years and the only reason it broke was cause i dropped it on its side which broke all the tension the board had. I ordered a camo one and am absolutely in love with how it looks!

You may want to consider a different type of board all together. Possibly a full sized longboard. The reason I recommend this is because of the size of both boards, they dont ride well on rough roads.

Both have Abec 7 bearings, so they roll the same. The Bantam st has softer urethane for the wheels, so it rides smoother, but isn't quite as fast.

Speed wobble is pretty common with the smaller cruiser boards. Tighten up your trucks, that should help a little.

the globe bantam ST is a great board dude, my friend has one too. I have a santa cruz sidewalk screamer, it is super fast and beats all other cruisers if you ask me, maybe you can review it some time? would be kick ass :D your reviews are great! keep up the good stuff :)

I am new at cruising and for now I am riding on a 22 inch plastic deck for 20 dollars, and when i go down a small to medium size hill I start wobbeling, so I wonder am I going to be better so the wobbeling disappear or do the small boards always wobbeling? Carlo Malig Im not sure if you can. I doubt it would make much of a difference. If you're looking for a good upgrade, slap some gold cup stok em's wheels on the Penny, Ive heard great things about that mod.

From what I've experienced the Bantam St has a rather light coat of paint on the surface that is rather prone to chipping. It doesn't affect the performance of the board at all, just the appearance. It gives it some "character". Good luck!

I've ridden both boards for a good amount of time. The Penny's trucks are a lot better for carving and the bearings are a lot smoother and quieter. The Penny's wheels are also much softer for cruising over everything. To me the Penny wins.
