Wow.... Thats leka. Reminds me of my childhood days. On Wednesdays after school l use to stand in the que at Abassie se butcher in Hanover Str. My mom use to smoor it for our bread for Thursday lol. Childhood memory, my mother never bought or cooked penny polonaise. I sometimes bought some for myself and ate them in the street. They were raw, but they were delicious. These days I am sure that the dyes which they used to make the skin such a fire engine red were very unhealthy.

My late aunt....use to buy hers at Good Hope Meat Market.When she use to go to Groote Schuur,then that was her pop in.....My mum use to get hers at Adams Butcher in Manenberg.Lovely memories.
