I think early in his career they had it out for him. They outlawed his crossover & yet, every other player was still allowed to do it but him. I remember this ref being caught for betting on games but I had no idea until this video that A.I. was a target of the refs. Every ref that participated in this should have been brought up on charges as their vindictive action could have and was probably meant to change the outcome of games. at 7:45, 5ft 10in 155lbs somehow throws 7ft 275lb NENE out of bounds. I remember watching this game and there were like 4 really bad calls on AI and it was like a feeling of not if but when is he getting tossed and everytime he dribbled the ball i thought theyd call a charge on him cuz they never did on defense but always somehow the midget on the floor can run 7ft 275lb professional athletes over. while hes 5ft 10 150 lbs lol. I remember like 3 or so other games like that, at least 2 on PHI 1 on DEN where he got tons of charges really quick and he had to play on eggshells which means he couldnt be effective at all, and in my head like it would keep being against the pistons and others teams in blue lol, 1 of the games he ended up fouling out the other if i recall right they ended up being down to the point where he got subbed out cuz the game was over . I had no idea the refs felt (feel) they can dish out their own brand of justice on a player. That is disgusting. I am just totally shocked by the comments in that first interview and the various ref comments and calls shown later. A ref/umpire must be impartial, that is their professional responsibility, and I imagine their professional oath. How can those guys be so unprofessional? Were they ever punished? How could they not be punished? If the refs are not impartial then we have no game. This exposing of NBA ref behaviour is just so shocking. And at a whole other level, could not betting agencies (and punters) sue the refs/NBA for illegally influencing the game and causing them to lose money?
