It means, you have attained the age of date of exit from the scheme in Jan 2011. In that case, if you have not given a Joint Option of Employee- Employer for pension on higher wage under para 26(6) of EPF Scheme 1952 i.e contribution on wages higher than the statutory wage limit, in that case you are not entitled for higher wage. So far as post supreme court order dates 04.11.2014, furnishing the option on higher wage was allowed to employees exiting from the scheme on or after the date 01.09.2014 (i.e date of amendment in the scheme).

Why is 58 considered to be an automatic exit from the scheme? People retiring at 60 can contribute until they retire

EPS 1995 was a different scheme. It has at first 5000/- and later revised to 6500/- w.e.f 16.11.1995.
