We have a penta, it’s been an excellent mixer with very little issues. Ours is 7-8 years old and mixes 3-4 loads a day.

They are an excellent mixer.I bought a used 4120 5 years ago, no issues.Hurricane is the screw design,I have Tornado, earlier version. Very heavy built,Lots Of Steel.That might work against you in a muddy lot.I would definitely buy one again.

I don't know how I missed this vid , but I'm glad I saw it now. Looks like it did a good job and like you said if you dumped a ton of silage on top of the tough hay it wouldn't have slobbered out so much. Neighbour has a supreme mounted on a truck and they feed all there triticale bales in it and said if they put 2 bales in and a scoop of silage it works good and the cows don't waste any of the green feed

Ive heard the penta and jaylors do pretty good. I bought a Leo i think beats both of them though, its got twelve knives and a hay catch chain so the hay doesnt spill over the top. There pretty reasonably priced to.
