You're most welcome. If you have never done it before I suggest you buy some "zero" lubricant first and flow it around the edge . Watch this video below. Mine came out easily because I keep it well lubricated and change it often. The first time is the hardest. Good luck. Watch how this guy below does it. It's how I learned. Thanks. I bought it over 20 years ago while on vacation on Grand Cayman. it wasn’t ridiculously expensive like the new ones are today. Wound up being a good “investment” because I have worn it .24/7/365 and i could sell it for more than I paid for it. Not much else like that these days.thanks for commenting.

Ha! You told me where and I still didn't know. Had to let Google elaborate. I should have guessed from the accent. And from an episode in my youth (early '70's). I was a kid (as you define them in your cavity video) working for Best Western Reservations. I worked the midnight shift, and we were a tight crew of 8 (by 8 am there would be 400 of us on the floor). The midnight shift mostly helped people find lodging whose reservations were screwed up by the day shift because that's primarily who would call at 2 am. Sorry, I digress. So this lady calls and says, I'd like to make a reservation at Lake George. I say, "Of course, ma'am. Could you please tell me what state Lake George is in?" To which she responds, "You don't know where Lake George is?! I can't deal with such an idiot!" BLAM and she was gone. So I pull out the U.S. road atlas listing all the Best Western motels in the lower 48, start to page through and ask out loud from my cubicle to my fellow agents in cubicles around me, "Anybody know where Lake George is?" RCL (we all went by our initials) says, "I think it's in New York." So I look it up and sure enough, there it is and Best Western has one motel there. Live and learn. Ten minutes later (it took her a while to calm down), my phone rings again (chances were 1 in 8 she would get me) and the lady on the line starts the conservation with the indignant demand, "DO YOU KNOW WHERE LAKE GEORGE IS?" "Why of course, ma'am, it's in upstate New York." "OK then. You wouldn't believe the idiot I just talked to down there who didn't know where Lake George was." So I made a reservation for her and she was none the wiser. Moral of the story, it's anecdotal, of course, and it might just be my own personal shortcoming, but New Yorkers tend to think the world is more familiar with New York geography than it actually is. Story told with a smile and a twinkle in the eye. I appreciate your videos.

@@TheConsarnedCitizen she got a room overlooking the dumpsters, (special request) I would hope. There is no way anyone would know where North Salem was unless they lived in Westchester NY to begin with. It’s an extremely small northern suburb of NYC with very few houses and almost nothing commercial. As far as Lake George; it’s not like making a reservation in Lake Tahoe. There would be no reason to go there unless you were from southern part of New York. I wouldn’t expect anyone to know where it is and it’s people like you dealt with so many years ago that give New Yorkers a bad name. (There’s plenty these days to give New York a bad name, but now I digress….). Anyway, a pool is a money pit around our neck of the woods. Only warm enough to enjoy 2 months a year, and a ton of maintenance. We need the pool replastered and need the coping redone.The water alone to refill the pool is a few thousand after any repairs are done. So unless you really enjoy having a pool, or live in a climate where you can enjoy it year round, It’s just not worth it.

I wish I remembered. It was either eBay or Amazon but it was at least 7 or 8 years ago, and I have looked since then and couldn’t find it again. I’m sorry I can’t help. Actually looked for one this morning and couldn’t find anything. It was easy to find when I bought it, I didn’t go searching specifically for a metal handle. Sorry, but thanks for watching and commenting. If I see it (I’ll keep looking) I’ll edit this post.

@@Samlol23_drrich Was so excited to see a metal handle and realize that they do exist. But bummed to see that no one knows where to buy one. I purchased a stainless steel body for the valve, but the handle it still made of plastic.

@benjaminburdon5498 its funny- I have absolutely no idea where I bought that handle because I wish I did- everyone asks. 12 years ago when we moved into the house it was stuck. I yanked and it broke. I think I got it on ebay. It has been on since. I'll continue to look. If I see it I will post a link within this video

Is that kit universal? It looks just like our valve but I want to get the right parts.

I dont want to tell you the wrong thing but I think if your slide valve is made by pentair it should fit. Im not even positive mine is by pentair, but since my sand filter is a pentair triton I figured the plumbing to fit the slide valve between the inlet and outlet of the filter was a universal size. My best guess is yes they are universal but unfortunately I can't be 100% sorry
