I saw them live this past Aug. and it cost me $150 for a ticket, I got 2, so $300 just for tickets but they were in the third row, which was AMAZING. Then as a special birthday present for my daughter I got us Meet and Greet tickets for before the show. They cost me $600 plus tax. For a total of $900 plus for the evening and that wasn't even counting the 5 hour drive to the venue and a night at a hotel after the show, which by the way Rachel Platten was opening for them and was staying at our hotel that night and I sat for about 45 minutes out in the parking lot smoking, talking to her Bass player. LOL I have NEVER, EVER, spent that kind of money on a concert before. I did spend close for front row to Queen + Adam Lambert 3 years ago at $500 for two front row tickets. But let me tell you, in my opinion, BOTH concerts were worth every penny. And the Meet and Greet was so fantastic. Loved meeting them. They are all such truly good, sweet, and kind people. They are so genuine and down to earth. I would pay it again in a heartbeat for PTX.

Another great way to get to know them is to watch the PTXperience videos on KZbin. You can go back and start from the beginning and follow them through the years. It really shows you how they prepare for concerts, arrange and record music, and you get to know them. Plus they are usually about 15 minutes each, so perfect for reaction videos.

It's more. And it's worth it. When PTX is with their fans, they are 100% present. I don't have that kind of money to spend, but I did it once and don't regret a penny. I will do it again if I get a chance. I've been to a few concerts without it, and it was still a great experience, but for your first concert--yeah, you really need to find those dollars. There are usually different tiers, but you need the top tier for the private performance. Just you and a dozen fans in a room, with PTX just inches away from you, and singing without a mic. It's surreal.

I saw them in Atlanta in 2018 and they mostly played outdoor venues that summer. Tickets started at $50 or $60. VIP packages are sold separately but you have to already have a ticket. Purchased the concert tix in February and the VIP upgrades weren’t released until a few weeks before the show so I didn’t get them until July. The meet and greet with photo op, merch and sound check, w Q&A was $250. If you wanted private performance it was $350 I believe. There was a $20 venue service fee per package. Now they only offer one package and it’s over $300. I got the one without private performance because I was also taking my mom. It ended costing around $800 and my mom was too bashful to meet them. We stood in the pouring rain for hours for her to tell me she’d wait for me. Anyway it was worth every dime and it’s a memory I’ll always cherish. My mom loved the show. Janet Jackson’s VIP is $500 and you don’t even get to meet her. Prince’s last concert was in Atlanta and his tickets started at $45. I was fortunate enough to have seen Michael Jackson five times and we never had to pay over $50 per ticket. I’m sure they were going to be much higher for the This is It tour but I’d been saving for that for forever. After he died I didn’t want to see anyone else until Prince came then he was gone. I used my MJ concert money to see Prince. PTX, Todrick Hall, Smokey Robinson, AND Diana Ross. Todrick lets you meet him and have a professional photo taken if you buy two merch items if vip is sold out and his tix started at $25. PTX and Todrick brought the music back to me after losing MJ, Prince and Whitney. That is the ONLY reason I’ll spend that much to meet them and tell them how much I appreciate them. If you can, do at least once. I guarantee some of them have seen your channel and will recognize you. They are so kind and humble and absolutely stunning. After this quarantine is over I’m going to see EVERYBODY and EVERYTHING even Sesame Street Live sounds brilliant right about now! I’d pay to see talk radio at this point! 😱🙌🏽😂

I have seen them in the Twin Cities 3 x in the last 4 years. They were at the Minnesota State Fair just before Avi left the group. Their show is fantastic, definitely worth the money.

I've been to about 5 or 6 of their concerts in different venues. They have always sounded great. It's not the venue but the consumer recording equipment that can't take that range. What is different about PTX is their sound rehearsals last almost as long as their concerts. They bring their own sound guys and that what Scott explained once.
@Lupin7884 жыл бұрын
As others have mentioned, the sound quality on these Star Vista videos is from the camera microphone of the person recording the performance. A lot of consumer cameras have rudimentary audio recording capabilities and cannot handle Avi's bass tones. The PTX concerts I've attended have all had excellent audio quality during the live performance. I've used different cameras to record their performances and some captured their range very well while others (notably my iPhone 5S) couldn't handle the bass.

Every two years or so, Pentaholics organize a Pentacon where one can meet the Pentaparents, other fans and I guess the band members too if you're lucky. But in one Pentacon I watched there was a session with the Reactors. Haha you should be there!

I don't care how much it costs, I love to see them live!!! I've seen them 11 times and been to 4 meet and greets. It's worth EVERY penny. Although when I first started going it was WAY cheaper. I payed 150 for the meet and greet. Now its 300 plus. I have to really take a deep breath before purchasing those now. You MUST go if at all possible though. ❤🤞 See through is an original. 😊 *Also, they do some sort of medley for almost every show.

Its funny how you can "carbon date" these videos by looking at Mitch's haircut. This was the same style as the famous "Aha" video in the Star Vista. Oh, and they tour with a few tractor-trailer vans of their own equipment including lighting and sound. You should watch the 1.5 hr. movie special done on Pentatonix. It was running on Netflix awhile ago. It's called "Pentatonix: On My Way Home."

Their documentary & their PTXperience videos (in addition to the fan posted live vids) are a great way to get to know them better & to see what their concerts are like! You should check out those. (I think it's just a few dollars to rent the doc.) Too bad you didn't get to see Avi. (I take it the show was postponed due to the pandemic like most things these days.) Hopefully you'll get a chance again soon.

I saw them Christmas 2018 tour. In a 4000 seat theater in Chicago, mid balcony $53/seat (4 seats). Meet & greet would have been an additional $300 per person, which is WAY out of my budget. But it was a good show and we enjoyed it a lot.

Still appreciate your reactions - as mentioned by some other viewers already "See through" is an original. If you want to know how touring works start with checking out their PTXexperience videos - they are shorther than the whole documentary, though it is worth watching. Many Greetings from Germany!

I paid $500 AUD for Ultimate VIP but it included the ticket (front row) in Feb 2020. Worth every cent. Their meet and greets are cheap though because Alice Cooper was $1800 AUD in 2017. Def Leppard were going to be over $2000 USD for their postponed 2020 US tour with Motley Crüe
