I love every member of Pentatonix. And each one gets a turn to shine at various points and/or in different songs. Scott and Mitch were in the forefront on this one (and sound great, to be clear), but it was truly driven by Matt and Kevin. They both were fantastic. It’s like they aren’t actually humans, but instruments hidden inside human costumes. 🤣 Kevin in particular SLAYED the beatboxing in this one. It was super intricate/complicated.

Each of them is multi talented. That's part of what makes them so great. They fill in wherever is needed for a song like when Scott does bass line when Matt is singing so it's no surprising Kirsty is doing sound effects. Awesome Song!

Yash, when before pentatonix join sing off competition, that was just 3 people the trio and Kirstie sometimes doing the rthym section with beatbox. And he found Kevin and Avi to do PENTATONIX. Legend Only!!!

This is unbelievable. Every time I hear it I find something new. Kevin is mind blowing 🤯. Those beats are sick! I thought Matt was the cello for a while. Who is even the steel drums I find myself hearing??! I just LOVE Mitch and Scott and I have ZERO doubt that Kirstie brings it all together but I’m just not talented enough to hear it! yes it’s still all a capella they can totally do that sound live!! there’s only one song on this album that uses instruments (piano & cello) and those are instruments that they know how to play!

There's a lot of layering in this track -more than I've noticed previous songs -so they can't do everything we here in the video in a live performance without more people, or a few loop pedals. For example, during mitch's first solo, you can hear his voice also doing the stacatto hits and the background "ahh"s with Kirstin. But it's still all *from* them and still all great. If they wanna do more produced tracks, they have every right.

The more I listen to this I hear more Matt. He’s really awesome here.this must have been a Mitch/Scott song. Yes, it sounds like Superfruit but also throughout the Superfruit videos you see a few mornings talking about the night before. Idk, I just get the feeling it’s about their unconditional friendship. The only problem with buying a PTX CD, is that what you REALLY want is a full video of every song! And Kevin's beatboxing on this one is just insane! If you watch/listen real close, Matt is also starting to get into doing the vocal percussion as well. Avi did the same thing if you go back and watch those earlier videos. When you have those incredible bass notes to play with, and that level of control, you can start 'drumming' very easily. As Jon Batiste put it the other day, 'scat' is just learning to sing like an instrument, and that's what PTX excells at. Go back and listen to their 'Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy, which is best described as 'voices without instruments, rockin' a song without words.' And if you really pay attention on this one, which obviously features Scott and Mitch, who wrote it, you'll figure out that Kirstin is working full time on all the stacatto background notes, that sound almost electronic. Always remember, PTX has it as a point of honor that they will never record anything that they can't do live. Pretty sure those are Kirsty's two white dogs, which are seen in the Christmas song 'Thank You.'

They openly admit that there are more studio audio tricks on this album than they usually do, so reproducing all the songs live may be a little more involved this time around. These are all original songs, so the primary songwriter(s) on each song are the featured members. Scott & Mitch wrote this one. Kirstie is featured prominently on Be My Eyes, as she wrote that one. I just got the album a few minutes ago and haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing yet. I need to listen to it when I can go thru the whole thing from beginning to end without interruption.

Overly produced and too many added effects on their voices. Unfortunate that they've done this to the entire album. They don't need to do that and it's disappointing.
