Don't see where anyone has explained, so...Perfume is a very popular J-pop female trio. This is a short medley of 4 or 5 of their most popular songs at the time, with everyone (but primarily Kirstie and Mitch) singing in Japanese, with occasional bursts of English, which Perfume also includes in their songs.

Thanks for the explanation about the mixed languages. I was wondering why some was in English, but most in Japanese as I gathered that Perfume was a J-pop band/group. These guys are so very diverse!

Barry I’m going through one of the toughest battle’s I’ve fought emotionally & SI. This morning instead of starting to scroll in fb I stopped and said “let’s see first if there’s something on YT that will make me smile this morning?” (mind you I was just on until 1:00 am watching my favorite reactions - music is a lifesaver) AND here you are & with Pentatonix no doubt! Thanks for the great reaction to this lovely Pentatonix video. They just finished the Asian leg of their World Tour last night. They got to sing part of the medley while in Japan. They got to meet Perfume backstage in 2020 when they came to a Pentatonix concert. They brought small gifts for Pentatonix and they took pictures together. FUN FACT: Kirstin got engaged last week in Japan. She loves it there and now it's even more special to her.

B☘️. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Even though saying that may ironically be more of an American thing 🤷‍♀️. I had never heard of this group or any of these songs before. They must be older because this video has Avi in it??? Either way, it is a happy upbeat little number. Speaking of numbers. Look at that ……. 59.9 K. Almost 60K subscribers and much more views than that (10,619,000). I can’t see the tens and units so no idea how close but, it is getting there. You get used to seeing big numbers on YT, but that’s a ton of people. These people have not been forced to watch these videos. They like watching them and have chosen to spend their time watching. There are so many things vying for people’s attention now and the fact that they stopped in for a bit and spent time with you says a lot. 😊 It says a lot about you, but perhaps more about the people who view your videos. It is easy to get stuck watching the numbers. “Did they go up???” “Did they go down???” And lose track of the big picture. Picture a room (do your best anyway 😊) filled with thousands of videos and people pouring into this room. So far, 4,112 have stopped at THIS video and watched it. There was your pep talk of the day. ❤

Great reaction Barry. So Perfume is a Japanese technopop girl band, but I didn't know that until I first heard this PTX medley and so looked it up! I love how they are inspired by all different kinds of music from around the world. I think it's what makes them so magical - there really is something for everyone. I love Kirstie and Mitch in particular in this one. I think Kevin is wearing the same eyewear that he wore in the Daft Punk medley!

This has long been one of my favorites, I love their willingness to learn songs in other languages and Japanese is such a beautiful language. Kirstin’s look in this video is so gorgeous! Avi does 3 covers (for something familiar) House of the Rising Sun, Lean on Me and OutKAst's Hey Ya. Change on the Rise is his most watched and his latest album is the Shooter Jennings produced Floating on a Dream with 11 magical originals. Some of these he rerecorded for 2 different projects, 2 were done acoustically for The 7 Layers Sessions in a church in The Netherlands. 4 songs were redone for the Live from Sunset Sound project. It looked wicked weird so I texted back and said, it looks wicked weird and there is hail, where is the tornado 🌪️?!?! I didn’t hear anything back but this morning he sends a video of this huge tornado 🌪️, it was one of the bigger ones that looks really large at the top, narrows down but even when narrowed it was still big. So I replied and said, I told you it looked wicked and was hailing and asked you where it was?!!! He replied back, I was looking out of the wrong window. I said so, let’s examine this, you are in a TRAILER, (oh sorry shouty) filming away at the wrong window where a gigantic tornado 🌪️ is out a different window?!?! He replies, well yes. I replied, you are dumb. 😂 Listen he deserved that, he was always the one that would say, I will stay in the house and watch the weather, you guys go on to the cellar. And what is the first thing lost out here during bad weather? The tv reception!!!! 🙄 He waited so long the time the tornado got our barn that he couldn’t get the cellar door open so my Dad had to push from the inside while he pulled from the outside. He got down in the cellar and said, welllll, the last thing I saw was the barn rolling away, as in all of it. My reply that time, great weather report, you are an idiot. 🙄 😂 The AC unit went in my window this week. That was an experience installing that with your woman Annie 🤡?!?! It is cold in here but that constant roar of noise?!?! Ugh! 😑 Thank goodness though cause your woman Annie 🤡 keeps it 2000 degrees in this house?!?! 😬 I signed up for an online Reading Challenge for the month of June. They have structured it like “The Amazing Race.” Which sounds scary, however, if I can kickstart my reading I will be golden, I can read fast. I am on Team Spooky 👻, isn’t that adorable?!?! 👻 Gotta jet 🛩️ cause I need food and it ain’t gonna be of the Cinco de Mayo variety. Boooo 👻 and hiss 🐍!
