Mitch actually has the ability to do that electronic sound with his voice. And Avi can sing overtones as well, which you can hear in this video.

The thing I love most about PTX is that if you listen hard enough you can pick out each person's part....even when they are all singing the same thing. You can hear Avi's low end, Mitch's falsetto, etc but they all blend seamlessly.

This is such a good song and it would be great to hear in a club. I've requested it several times but as soon as I mentions the band's name the DJ's don't want to know about it. This and Daft Punk could be played anywhere

I enjoy how you explain how stripped down you feel their videos are. I agree. I think they purposely keep the visuals on their videos clean and simple. What that does is keep the focus on what is important ... their amazing vocals.

Me, too. What happened to our 80's music. We had the best of everything. Dancing in clubs as many nights as you can and make it to class. We had a bar called Bullwinkles. One night a week they had Goose the Moose Night. Long neck bottles started at 25 cents and went up to 50 cents then a dollar......etc The object was to get there early and drink as much beer as you can, fast. The good old days. Hey, I am not that far behind you, I would go to a club, now if there was a good beat. If someone opened a club with good music from the 80's, the Gen Xers would come. If you build it, they will come.

What I am always so impressed with is their vocal control. They can make themselves sound digitalized with what they can do. Like the ‘skipping’ voice they do in Daft Punk and Gold. A dance tune without instruments. Amazing.

The first time I heard it and Kevin did that bassdrop......I FREAKIN LOST MY MIND. I'm at the bus stop waiting for it and ended up having a dance break. I was so impressed. Now that you have seen what they can do with an original in video format, you need to see how they translate that into a live setting. Thanks to the pandemic seeing them live is not going to happen soon. The next best thing, you should check out their 2016 Popspring performance recorded by/for MTV with top-notch audio and video. Because you get a triple dose of originals along with their excellent 'Evolution of Michael Jackson' medley. You are craving a time gone past, I grew up in the heart of Toronto Canada. Many of us spent our nights shifting from club to club but if you could get into the Masonic Temple that was prime. You never new who would step on stage for example the Rolling Stones used it as a rehearsal hall because of the awesome acoustics.
