This was a great song. It sounded to me like Kirstin started the song with Scott harmonizing and then Mitch took over , and then Matt, then Kirstin, Mitch and then Scott lol. I go through a "process" when listening to PTX. I listen to the song a minimum of 6x, starting with the overall song with all of them and then after that, each time focusing on each of them individually. Thanks for reacting to their latest. 😊

Listened to the album today and I think this is my favorite. It's so fun and makes you want to dance. When their first original album came out, they played Can't Sleep Love on the radio, but it was always at like 4am or 11pm. You know, times when people aren't really in the car listening to the radio.

According to their producer (Ed Boyle? I think), he does do minor timing corrections on their produced songs. It's not that PTX is not capable, it's just that the pop genre demands absolute perfection. It's a creative choice, not a necessity.

You said something that I’d actually noticed this week. I have a Pentatonix cd in my car that I listen to often. I was doing just that Wednesday morning. It’s almost unnerving even now to realize there are no instruments!! All those sounds are even more pronounced when solely listening while not watching. It’s breathtaking.

Your point about radio play and competing with the rest of pop music out there is likely why this album is so much more produced than anything they've ever done. The additional layering they're doing. I LOVE the entire album even with the additional sounds that 5 members can't do on their own!!!

In the song kirstin and Mitch are blending and harmonising with each other making it song like more voices at once while sounding like one person singing. There is no extra stuff just really good harmonising between the two of them.
